Relais Gaia

We booked this months in advance and when we arrived the 4 rooms were fully booked. The accommodation consists of 1 long corridor with the rooms coming off it. You are on the ground floor of a 3(?) story building. Breakfast is typically served to your door at 08:30. We needed breakfast earlier on a couple of days and they were very helpful and changed the times to suit us. We had the superior room and it was just right for us. The shower was excellent, hot and powerful and the bed was comfortable, We were never woken up by noise and being 7 mins away from the train station was a huge plus as we saw lots of people pull their heavy suitcases through the poorly kept pavements and roads in the 30 degree heat! The breakfast was enough but there was no fresh fruit, we didn’t ask them for this but there was fruit on the website photos of breakfast and I usually eat fresh fruit for breakfast but that was a minor point. Breakfast can be chosen in advance and then sent as a what’s app to say what you want. I also like tea so made sure to tick cold milk as well as tea for my drink every morning. All communication was through email or what’s app. You must remember to pay your room tax in cash and tell them in advance your arrival time alongside sending passport photos in advance. Our check in was simple and a very detailed email with photos was received on the day. We didn’t meet anyone until the next morning when breakfast was served. Florence is extreme expensive accommodation so whilst this was more than we would normally pay we had no complaints and the air con worked perfectly. The TV has only Italian channels but that didn’t bother us. Useful to know we only had one large suitcase and a rucksack. Anything more than that you may find it a struggle. We didn’t. Would recommend.

Ottima struttura. Molto pulita e in una zona tranquilla quindi si riposa benissimo. Letto e cuscini comodi. Sono a disposizione, come nelle migliori struttura , due cuscini di spessore diverso per poter scegliere . Bagno piccolino ma molto funzionale, tutta la struttura sembra ristrutturata da poco. La stanza è composta da un letto matrimoniale ed un divano letto matrimoniale che comunque era ottimo e molto resistente. La colazione viene servita in camera e deve essere prenotata la sera prima, comunque erano presenti prodotti di alta qualità ( le brioches buonissime e di pasticceria )

B&B situato in zona Fortezza, vicino anche ad una fermata del tram. Dalla ristrutturazione di un appartamento nel centro storico sono stati ricavate 5-6 stanze di diverse dimensioni, tutte ben arredate e con servizi privati, alcune con un piccolo patio privato. Assolutamente nessuna osservazione da fare sulla pulizia. Titolare gentilissimo e sempre disponibile telefonicamente, chiaramente non presente 24h nella struttura. Unico aspetto un po' strano, la colazione viene servita in camera, sulla base di quanto richiesto entro la sera prima su un apposito modulo. Per chi ci arriva in auto, c'è una convenzione con l'attigua autorimessa.
