Absolutely beautiful park surrounded by lush tropical plants, but it is located next door to the Whitsunday Airport, where small planes & helicopters flew in and out all day long to the islands starting at 5.30am. The park is not central to the Main Street of Airlie Beach with a good 10- 12 mins drive from the Main Street of Airlie Beach, but it is very close to Shute Harbor, where many sea tours departed. Also, amenities need updated to compete with other caravan parks (1) Ladies' showers only 2/6 had a shelf to put one's items on, and although hooks were available, some were very loose. The shower cubicles with shelves were always in demand. (2) laundry has 4 washing machines, but on Monday morning, only one was operating.

Our stay at BIG4 Whitsundays Tropical Eco Resort was absolutely fantastic! The resort is beautifully maintained, with lush tropical gardens that create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The cabins were spotless, well-equipped, and so comfortable—everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. They were full of helpful advice about local attractions and made us feel so welcome. The facilities were top-notch, especially the pool and BBQ areas, which were ideal for relaxing and enjoying the stunning surroundings. The location is perfect for exploring the Whitsundays. It’s just a short drive to Airlie Beach, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle. The eco-friendly focus of the resort is also a big plus—it feels great staying somewhere that cares about the environment.

Third time we have visited. This time definitely being the last. Does not have the atmosphere and facilities/activities that it used to have 12+ months ago. Whole park has gone downhill. Only really for short term backpackers and elderly - do not advise for families! You cannot advertise in the photos the kids train- it is no longer there. You cannot advertise the food and drink van- it was not open our entire stay. You cannot advertise photos of the movie night- there is no family activities and absolutely nothing for families with kids to do here. The ninja inflatable course is also no longer there. This trip was over Christmas and new year period and the park was not even half full! We visited with two other families, all with kids and were all disappointed. We are NQ locals and came for a school holiday getaway, having been there before with great experiences, until this time. We will no longer be back. Shame, all about word of mouth too.

A great place to stay. So clean and beautiful grounds. Public transport right outside which is a real bonus. Private airport next door with a lovely cafe - fantastic to sit and watch the tourist flights and helicopters while enjoying delicious food and coffee. This park is a lovely friendly place to visit in a beautiful part of the country. So many stunning places to visit within easy travelling distance. We loved it.

Marketed as an ëco" resort would have to be tantamount to false advertising. Our booked site was 10 metres from an unfenced busy road connecting Airlie Beach to Shute Harbour with consistent traffic most of the day. This was coupled with air traffic from the neighboring airport, including helicopters, from 6.45am to late afternoon. Hardly tranquil.
