Hôtel Club Mmv le Flaine

This hotel is in need of a serious refurbishment. The cleanliness in the dining room especially the window sills are very dusty, you could write your name on the dust. The choice of food is basic in my opinion. The housekeeping staff kept rooms clean however they need to clean behind curtains and doors. Bedding and towels (although some towels very thin and need replaced) clean. THE ONE AND ONLY LIFT IS VERY SLOW.

We stayed as a family with two young children at Le Flaine for our first ski holiday. The hotel, resort and location were perfect. Collecting equipment was easy and very close to ski school and the lifts. I felt nervous before going about leaving the kids in ski school but felt none of that as soon as we dropped them off, they loved it and the ESF instructors were great, I looked forward to seeing how they had come on! My eldest even skied a little bit of red by the last day, the progress is amazing. The hotel itself was great, easy access to the boot room, afternoon tea, a great variety of food at all meal times and really did have a supportive team. They were always smiling and happy to help or have a chat about our day. The bar was social and lots of nice families to chat to, some who had first skied in Flaine when they were kids. We couldn’t have asked for more. The rooms were decent, the bunk beds really worked for our two and it gave us a little space. It is warm at night but we had the door open so didn’t feel too hot after the first night. All in all an amazing time. Thank you.

Stayed at hotel 2nd week of March 24 - part of Crystal Ski Slope Starters. Whilst the hotel had positives, it was unfortunately outweighed by a sickness bug/food poisoning that pretty much wiped out the whole of the Uk guests! Quite surprised given the amount of people that were poorly, there are not more reviews reporting this. All 3 of us (who ate different meals, myself vegetarian) violently vomiting & bed bound for 24/48 hrs! My husband first, followed by my daughter and then myself last. Unfortunately I don’t believe the hotel or Crystal reps handled the situation very well, it was quite obvious they were trying to keep the situation quiet/down played! From the group of slope starters, I know of 16 people who had it however it was far more. Even the ski instructors declined our awards ceremony on the last day as they wanted to avoid the hotel because of the situation. Cant blame them! Next time - I suggest instead of keeping things quiet, warn your guests please! It was finally admitted by one of the reps that they had known of sickness the week before but they thought it had been contained! Hotel/restaurant manager still refused to acknowledge any sort of issue! Besides the above - hotel is nice, rooms ok, and location is good.
