Baby- & Kinderhotel Laurentius

Well, they've lived upto their name. This was of our first ever visit to hotel which makes a great deal for babies and kids. You just cant get enough of family sauna, pools, 3-lane slide, play areas around the resort, etc. Plus all mountain lifts are within walking distance from the resort. While we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights stay but obviously missed a lot of activities at / around the property (in Fiss) which is a good reason to be back at Laurentius. The only thing we would request them to fix is vegetarian menu. Buffet could include more vegetarian options and separately labelling veg / non veg would tremendously help. We were probably the only english speaking family at that time and found it difficult to clearly identify vegetarian options. Looking forward to the next time at Laurentius!

The highlights of our week long skiing holiday: -proximity of slopes (a few minute walk) -friendly child care -delicious 4 course dinner served to table -children can run around freely (even our 3yr old) - ski locker included with boot warmer - infinity pool with Mountain View Everything has been taken care of to really enjoy skiing, sledging, hiking and cross country skiing all in one week as a family 😀

Perfect hotel for young families. Everything is designed with children in mind. Great facilities, great staff, great rooms and great food, all in beautiful surroundings. You won’t run out of things to see and do any time of year.

We are a family of 5 adults and 4 little children between 7 and 1 year old. The indoor and outdoor playgrounds are super for the children! Very good dinners and large rooms with terrace. There are also family rooms with 2 bedrooms. The spa for (only) adults is great, especially the swimming pool outside. Friendly staff.

We had amazing experiences last time we visited this family hotel 5 years ago and we’re very excited to visit again. The staff was friendly and the children‘s club was great. But the hygiene this time with food makes me sick just thinking about it again. My husband is still suffering. The cook making eggs has no access to a sink with water and soap at his station. He wore the same gloves to open eggs that he had on when he brought in a case of goods from who knows where. Then he used his possibly salmonella gloves to move the pancakes and waffles around on the buffet. How is this okay? I wouldn’t allow my friends to do this at my private party. People could get sick. Another guest from Switzerland told me she saw him with his egg-residue gloves cutting fruit and putting it out for guests. Both of our families had members with symptoms of salmonella food poisoning, where we couldn’t go skiing and laid in bed for days on our vacation. We came up with a rule to only eat cereal and fruit we can peel. We can’t say we did have food poisoning without a doctor’s test at this point. But this hotel’s hygiene standards do no meet what the regulations require. I worked in the industry and this is strictly forbidden. If a pregnant woman were to eat a Waffel or fruit contaminated, she could loose the baby. They don’t seem to care. So the Swiss lady decided to talk to the Jr boss and voice her concerns. The Jr boss told her that their eggs are fresh. If you know anything about food prep, that doesn’t matter in hygiene. That is like stating, “the raw chicken I touch if fresh, so I can touch the waffles and fruit now.” We asked some of the service staff if this is normal. They said that they always have some sick guests. I talked to the big boss today. She listened and then she said we probably got a virus. Sorry, I haven’t seen my seven year old feeling sick then okay to ski then **** her bed. She has never done that. My husband still feels off and on shitty. I didn’t get it, because I don’t eat breakfast. If you are reading this, please reconsider your decision. There are other family hotels we have been to that care about the hygiene for their guests. The last thing you want is to spend a lot of money and get food poisoning.

Great place that feels at home. Staff is very service-oriented and professional. Kids can play and run around (as they do), without giving the feeling that they shouldn't do so. This leads to a cosy ambiance where children really can enjoy themselves and it works for all.
