Auberge la Roche Noir

Very kind and friendly, strongly recommend! You can learn their culture as they are open to talk and explain their life. Beautiful place in the desert where there is an oasis and a lake in the middle of enourmus rocks in the middle of the desert

I have mixed feelings about the two nights I spent at La Roche Noire. Firstly, I have to say that the staff are wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. The location is incredible, just a short walk from the beautiful river. It was so relaxing just to be able to stroll around the villages (there are four), or to sit by the river contemplating the beauty of the area whilst watching the local women washing clothes in the river. That said, I didn't stay at the best of times as far as the hotel is concerned. As of February 2024 they were in the process of having a lot of renovation work done, building new rooms etc. I felt like I was staying on a building site. I would be sitting on the terrace enjoying a drink when a couple of men would walk past carrying a toilet, or someone would start digging nearby etc. For any Brits reading this, it was a bit like 'Carry On Abroad'! I'm sure it will be great when it's finished though. As for my room, the bed was comfortable and I slept very well. In fact, thanks to a very early start on my first day, I slept for 12 hours! But the room needed some attention. The curtain pole was broken at one end, meaning I was afraid to draw the curtain for fear of pulling it off the wall completely. The mirror in the bathroom wasn't fitted well, and was hanging at an angle. The wall mounting for the shower head was broken, meaning that only a hand-held shower was possible (I know, "first world problems"). But these things are easy and cheap to fix, and if they were rectified, it would make all the difference. But...the tiled floor in the room was filthy (maybe as a result of all the building work? I don't know...). Walking out of the shower with bare, wet feet meant that dirt and dust from the floor was soon sticking to them and being trodden all around the room and bathroom. Speaking of the shower, on my first morning the water was actually too hot! It was difficult to get the right balance of hot and cold water to make the shower comfortable, the cold water flow was actually weaker than the hot. But the next morning, it was too cold. I couldn't win! Whilst in February, a sunny day can be beautifully warm, it does get very cold at night. The aircon unit in the room does provide warm as well as cool air, but I found that the heating option wasn't really enough to warm the room sufficiently. Thankfully they do supply a number of thick blankets for the bed. If there was wifi available, I couldn't connect to it. I also couldn't get any reception on my phone once I was in my room. You may enjoy a break from the internet, but it would have been nice to at least be able to watch YouTube (or similar), or to stream online music/radio in the room. Take a good book to read if you need more distractions than just laying on the bed staring at the ceiling! But would I stay here again? Yes, I probably would...once the renovations are complete. I'm sure it'll be lovely then.

Amazing stop by. We went to visit the Fint Oasis. When we arrived, someone stopped by and told us where to park. Mohammed then gave us a tour around the oasis, and he guided us until La Roche Noir. Such an amazing place. The host, Rachid, welcomed us with cold drinks and Mint Tea. It was an amazing stop by and I’d recommend 100% for you to come here just because of Rachid. He also provides visits to the desert, amongst other things, don’t hesitate, he is an amazing guide.

This was the third time I came to Fint. For the third time I stayed once again at Auberge de la roche noire. I wasn’t disappointed. The people are really welcoming and you feel like home. They share their life with you and always make sure you are all right. During the day you are regularly offered tea, they have a great flexibility for meals and by the way their food is delicious ! If you want to go on an excursion, you juste have to ask and they do everything for you. That time I went on a trip to Chegaga and spent two days in the desert . Everything was perfect I could even practice sandboard and walk on a camel in the dunes .. don’t hesitate to stay at the auberge de la roche noire, you won’t regret it ! It is a little paradise.

Si il y a bien un lieu où l on se sent accueilli comme des amis, c est bien l auberge de la roche noire dans l'oasis de Fint. Rachid ,Driss, Youssef et tous les membres de l équipe vous bichonnent, vous conseillent et vous permettent de vivre un séjour formidable dans un lieu unique. A ne manquer sous aucun prétexte si on est dans la région de Ouarzazate.

Très bon accueil. Facile d'accès. Endroit calme et paisible. Parfait pour découvrir l'ambiance locale berbère des oasis. Repas servis succulent. Pain frais fait main tous les matins. Les chambres avec douche sont propres. Parfait pour une halte dans un road trip direction Marzouga. Je recommande
