The White Lodge Hotel

We went for Sunday lunch and were pleased to see that the dining room had had a makeover with comfy chairs and great size tables . The food was lovely with good choice of starters and desserts. We had the prawn cocktail and crab fish cakes which were both very tasty and a good size. We all had the beef roast which was pink and tasty but a little fatty. Vegetables were varied and plenty of them. The puddings came with custard and were nice and tasty. Overall the food was great. I just think the service was a bit slow as we were there for 2 hours and felt a bit forgotten at times . Saying that we will go again

Booked for valentine’s night checked in by lovely Lauren always amazing had a lovely room overlooking the sea, we pre-booked a meal in the restaurant at night but nothing was catered for valentines no ballon’s no special menu no mention of it found this really strange. Had two young waiters serving us Peter and Poppy they were lovely kept topping our wine up and asking if we needed anything else, the food was lovely but the main was £60.00 but not enough for two. Lovely warm hotel in Filey parking is £12 a day only enough room for six cars but we parked just outside the hotel. Expected a valentine occasion but very disappointed, the staff as always were amazing a credit to The White Lodge.

Just wanted to say a great big thank you to the Chef for a delicious evening meal last night. The food was top notch, cooked to perfection and the flavours just delicious. Accompanied with a great choice of wines and very attentive service, as always, from the staff, we had a perfect evening.

Called in early this morning nice relaxing environment, pleasant decor. Had wonderful tea and freshly baked warm scones with butter, jam and cream, excellent attentive service from Tracey. Thoroughly enjoyable, very highly recommended

A friend and I met for coffee at the White Lodge yesterday and were impressed by the professional and warm welcome of the lovely staff member Tracey. She was a great ambassador for the hotel, with a natural flair for traditional hospitality where attention to detail is everything.

Having been on a long walk we decided to call in to The White Lodge for a coffee and cake and were astoundingly when we were told we couldn’t pay with cash!!! The bill was only small and we do not like using a card for small payments. It was only by chance that we had a card with us because often when on a walk we leave them behind and just take a small amount of money.
