As most of the reviews agree, everything about Reethi faru is great. We stayed in Garden villa 225 - excellent finish, very comfortable bed, nice and quiet (and cool) - and very close to the beach, and the best snorkeling entry points. Garden rooms don't get dedicated sun loungers, but we were always able to get a couple near Nala Bar. We were B&B, and ate our dinners in Reethi Grill and Dhiyavaru - friendly staff, and outstanding food. The dive shop are friendly and helpful, and we had two good snorkeling trips with them (including a reef manta). What many reviews fail to say, is just how good the Reethi Faru house reef is! The coral has (like everywhere) suffered, but there are areas of good re-growth. However, the fish are amazing! Depending on the time, tide, and light, we mainly snorkeled the reef edge from entry point I to III (and back, in the shallows) and the reef edge from entry point VIII to VI. The very best spot we found (for fish) was around midday to enter at point 1, and go left (north) along the reef edge for about 50m toward the north-east point. (But you ONLY want to do this when there is little current running). In 8 days of snorkeling (twice a day) we saw (photographed) 187 species of fish, 3 species of shark (lots of black tips, one grey, two lemon), and 3 species of ray. Also two cephalopods and several hawksbill turtles.
