Ryad Salama

This riad is an oasis in the middle of Fes! We were so surprised when the front doors opened to discover this gem inside. It is so green and lush! The rooms are unique and beautifully decorated. Our dinner here was delicious too. Excellent location.

Magnificent courtyard garden with rooms overlooking. The dining room and lounge are filled with antiques showcasing the stunning Moroccan craftsmanship. We had 2 dinners as well as the included breakfasts, both elegant, generous, and delicious. The beauty and the quietude make a welcome respite from the narrow streets of Fez.

We stayed in Fes for three nights at the beginning of our Morocco tour. Bed was so comfortable we didn't notice the tremors from the earthquake whereas some locals did. Lovely ryad in the backstreets. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, thoroughly recommend. Our room overlooked the courtyard and was clean and bright. Dinner served at the ryad was excellent value for money although the menu was limited. To use a credit card your bill needs to be over 1000 MAD which is achievable easily. Wish we could go back.

This Ryad is breathtaking, beautiful, and completely relaxing. It’s located in a perfect part of the Medina. It’s nestled between the two main Medina streets which are the gateway to exploration and fabulous restaurants. Once inside, it is totally quiet and easy to forget that you are in the Medina. The rooms are clean, beautiful, and spacious. The decor is beautiful. The beds are very comfortable. They serve a delicious and very generous breakfast. The staff are very helpful and will ensure that you are happy and your needs are met. I enjoyed sitting on my balcony, watching the swallows as they would arrive every night at to enjoy the garden at 6:00 pm. They booked us porters and taxis for our arrival and departure. They also booked us a full day tour of the Medina. Our guide’s name was Mohammed. He was outstanding and I learned a lot about not only Fez, but Moroccan culture and history. The guide and our stay here was the best part of our trip to Morocco. My only regret was that we didn’t stay longer.

Being in Salama Riad was a delightful experience in all senses. Despite a tricky arrival cause the entrance it is difficult to find in your own that was part of the wonder, once you enter the riad everything changes. This small riad (only 8 rooms and 1 appartment) is an oasis of calm with a beautiful garden carefully curated, excellent service in french arabic and english, welcoming fresh bottled water and nice and spacious rooms without numbers that make you feel like at home (actually most of the rooms feel like a little home) with wonderful baths. We book 6 rooms for 2 nights and the experience in all of them was great. The breakfast was delicious and abundant and so was also a couple of meals we ordered. The manager Iolanda and her team was always present when needed but leaving the appropiate free space to feel like you are at home. Special mention the service was absolutely adaptable and caring for a person that got sick and had to stay in the room and change its diet, even after our check-out. An absolute wonder.

Very nice place with an excellent location. Son nice and tranquil in the middle of the old market area. The room and the service was also excellent. One issue can be to find the place if you don’t have mobile data. A suggestion is to download the area in Google maps and mark the place.
