Hôtel Lodge la Pirogue Mahambo

We have spent just one night in a standard bungalow. We wanted to change the rooms but apparently they were all booked which was kind of hard to believe because there were just 5 other families staying at hotel. Maybe the bungalow was charming when it was newly built, but now it is just old and falling apart. There are holes everywhere and cockroaches in the room plus some other animals. At night you could here the “eating” noises coming from all corners of the room, my guess would be termites. The food was nothing special but it was ok for one meal. To be fair we’ve seen a lot on our travels and we are not picky at all but we couldn’t have stayed here another night.

Hôtel magnifique et authentique avec ses toits en chaume. La plage et la piscine sont au top. Le paradis sur terre. Les chambres sont très jolies et propre. Le repas est très bon. On a une petite préférence pour le restaurant le coconut pour sa cuisine mauricienne et les pieds dans le sable. Merci au personnel qui est d’une gentillesse incroyable et bienveillant. Nous avons eu droit à un repas offert pour nos 25 ans de mariage. Merci à Vinday, Anne Sophie, Prayag, la conciergerie, Léa, Yohan…. Nous reviendrons c’est sûr.

L'environnement de cet hôtel, sur la plage et dans un parc très vert, est charmant. Nous n'étions sans doute pas dans la meilleure chambre (pas dans un bungalow), mais la notre nous a semblé bien défraichie, avec un mobilier obsolète et insuffisant. Un gros effort de remise en état serait le bienvenu. Le personnel est sympathique et efficace. Nous plaignons les deux lémuriens enfermés dans une cage minuscule face à la réception, un bien mauvais point pour nous.
