Jiuqi Shuidiao Getou Diaojiaolou Hotel

Amazing location! The view from the balcony is simply great. I couldn’t figure out in what part of the town to stay. It was the best choice - inside the Old Town but in a quite alley. I was so happy with my choice. The staff of the hotel is so nice too! Very helpful and accommodating. Thank you very much for the taxi ride!

Excellent location near taxi drop-off point. Owner was waiting to lead us to the hotel which was just across the Tuo River. We booked a family suite and it was spacious and has everything we needed. Loved the balcony and the view of Tuo River. Owner helped us book tickets for the boat ride at discounted rate. She also helped to book a car to send us to the High Speed Railway station and again helped carry our luggage out to the taxi pick up point. Big thank you to the hospitable friendly owner. 😃👍

The location is very nice. A bit tough to find at first, but you can ask art one of the restaurants. Cleanliness is ok, the shower a bit moldy. The bed is weirdly shaped (round?) but bog enough for two people. The balcony is amazing. But it seems that almost all hotels have the same concept of balconies. Front desk does not speak english, but with translation it is manageable.

The double bedroom with two single beds and a Mahjong table was surprisingly spacious. Having the bathroom divided in toilet and shower was practical although hot water wouldn't come out unless the sink was also open. The mattresses were comfortable (average to soft for westerners standards) and bigger than expected. The hotel is located in a quieter part of town, away from pubs with live music, so it's easier to rest at night. But it's also surrounded by places to eat, have messages and buy souvenirs. The room has sockets compatible with western European appliances. The staff was nice and helped us buy discounted tickets to the town attractions and a Miao musical show (we had a Chinese speaker in our group so I don't know how it would have been with the language barrier) and also booked a taxi for us to leave the town which was very convenient. If you have a lot of luggage use the entrance from the street not facing the river as you'll have to enter through a restaurant and go up a narrow flight of stairs otherwise. Good value for money and overall experience. Would recommend!

The hotel room was exactly as it is shown in the pictures! The view was lovely and the location is strategic as it is very close to the main road where you can take a taxi easily. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they allowed me to have a late check-out!
