Premier Inn East Grinstead

Excellent stay for myself and my wife for visiting a friend. Plenty of parking. I was very happy that the room was lovely and clean. Staff were brilliant, assisted us anytime we needed help. Bed was incredibly comfortable. We certainly will be staying again.

Poor all round, didn’t expect a 5 star as it’s a premier inn but the room was terrible, mould everywhere and just generally dirty all round, considering this was a family room it just shows that they have given up on this hotel. No issues with the staff though.

After travelling 3.5hrs to catch a flight the next morning, we stayed at Premier Inn East Grinstead, on arrival we encountered plenty of car parking, refreshments & a clean comfortable room. But a Special mention must go to Alison on Reception who went above & beyond to be helpful.

I cannot thank Louise enough. She was absolutely brilliant. She went completely out of her way to sort out the problem I had caused by arriving early and managed to change rooms around and get me checked in early. She also completely understood my needs about the quietest room in the hotel and gave me that.

This was the second tme I have stayed here and it was exactly as I remembered. Easy check in, nice, clean and comfortable room that was perfect to lock myself away in to recharge after a hectic day. The room had everything I needed for my 2 night stay and only lacked one thing.... a plug socket on the same side of the room as the bed! Only USB charger points available that side, which is slightly annoying as it meant I had to actually leave the bed to turn the alarm off on my phone (although this could also be viewed as a benefit!) I must say that the food quality in the restaurant has deteriorated from last year. The "hash browns" were awful. Cheap and tasteless and slightly undercooked both days. The evening meal the first night also did not live up to last years standard. Their version of a hunters chicken "smothered in Barbers cheese" Barely any cheese on it at all. And what's with the mini frying pans to serve it in? Pop it on the plate, don't leave my chicken swimming in grease! Never fear though, there is a perfectly lovely Nepalese restaurant a 3 minute drive away that I thoroughly recommend. Will I stay again? Yes. Will I eat out again? Also yes. Will I eat breakfast there again? Yes, but probably a continental.

This stay was purely a stop off and I just wanted a evening meal and a bed for the night. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly but the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were thin and hard. Shower ran hot and cold. Location was on a very busy road (which I did know) so expect some noise - which pretty much runs most of the say and night. The Star next door offer reasonable food at reasonable prices.
