Travelodge Colchester Feering

The staff were lovely friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and peaceful and I had everything I needed it was nice to have a few places next to the front to eat ..the manager was really nice my only bad point is that if you don't drive be prepared for the taxi drivers to completely rip you off I had to phone about 10 cab companies to eventually get a cab to the station 2 mins cost me £22 but that is not the hotels fault

I would like to write a personel review for all the staff who were great the manager Jane was absolutely brilliant after finding ourselves in a difficult position she made the experience so much better with her warmth and understanding and great sense of humour which cheered the day up I'm in my sixties and my husband's health isn't great she made it all so much easier feering travel Lodge colchester

Pleasant and small Travelodge, all on one floor which was great. Nice, clean room and lovely view. Stayed over one night as was staying for a show at Charter Halls. Quiet even though just off the A12. No restaurant/bar but enough place to grab food and drink nearby. Would definitely return.

I believe her name may have been Claire but the lady who worked the night shift on Monday and Tuesday 10-11/03/25 was extremely friendly and constantly had a smile on her face whenever we walked by. The gentleman that checked us in on the Monday was also very friendly. The beds are lovely as always and we had a good couple of nights stay. Jane and Sian on reception on the Tuesday we left were very quick to make sure our stay was whah we had expected and were very nice and made sure we had everything we’d needed. We booked the Tuesday night at very short notice but this didn’t seem to faze them at all and allowed us to remain in the same room.

I wasn't sure what to expect - but this Travelodge was an unexpected surprise. There was adequate parking in front (shared with Greggs next door) and it was set back from the dual carriage way so didn't feel like a main road. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms clean and functional - even having traditional metal keys rather than modern swipe cards. There was a smallish Freeview TV in the room which served to add background entertainment but you wouldn't want to watch a blockbuster movie on it. The only potential drawback was the lack of facilities - but with a garage next door with a Subway, and a Greggs (and a closed Burger King) there is something for the traveler who arrives unprepared. There was plenty of extra tea and coffee on reception. My stay was on a Sunday evening so the road was quiet than usual but I wasn't disturbed on Monday morning by the traffic. I'd recommend this Travelodge

Poo down the side of the pan. Lady who checked me in was great. The hotel is nice but old fashioned. But on day I was leaving I noticed there was old poo. What looked like someone else's spoo down the side of the pain. When leaving I did tell the lady on reception. Explained that had it been mine, I would have wiped it while wet. Who knows how long it's been there and for how many guests? Is it still there? Have changed the s word to poo
