From check-in till premature check-out (after two nights, instead of planned 13) I felt not welcome here. There are only very few parking lots at the entrance, most guests just have to park along the street on the other side of the road. There´s a strange fenced platform in front of the entrance and the curb insn´t lowered anywhere along the parking lots, so it is very difficult to get your luggage from the car onto a baggage cart and into the hotel. There´s actually a parking garage at the east side of the hotel which could be a huge advantage, if it weren´t so tricky to access, both by car and from the hotel. Of course, all eastern hotel rooms face the garage, too. On the other side, at the moment there´s still a meadow, but it will most probably turn into a construction site soon. The location near Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway and DFW is convenient, but there´s hardly any restaurant in the neighborhood; in about ten minutes you can reach a Whole Foods Market or an ALDI. Obviously the hotel was booked out, so I couldn´t get an upgrade, despite of my Platinum status. That I obviously got one of the worst rooms, facing the parking garage, was another thing. The kitchen had the poorest equipment I´ve ever seen, not even a flipper, 2 plates, 2 cups, 2 glasses etc. - in a room meant for up to three people! The furniture was very basic and run down, the desk chair extremely uncomfortable. The room and the dishes weren´t clean. The kitchen sink was leaking. I found stains on my pillow and a long nasty hair wrapped in the bath towel. A very condescending employee tried to offer me an „upgrade“ in the same room category as apology and explicitely mentioned that, allegedly, most guests here were Platinum and Diamond members and stayed for several weeks, so I was not eligible for something better. I was really happy to leave.
