Premier Inn Falkirk North

We recently stayed at Premier Inn Falkirk North and had a mixed experience. Positives: • The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. • The room and facilities were clean and well-maintained. • Convenient location for our needs. Negatives: • The room was uncomfortably hot, with no air conditioning despite it being advertised most hotels with air conditioning. We had to open the window for ventilation, but as it was a ground-floor room and we had children with us, this didn’t feel safe at night. So kept closed at night. • The soundproofing between floors was poor. We could hear every step and movement from the room above, which disrupted our sleep. • The shower water pressure was very weak. • The WiFi didn’t work, which also made the smart TV unusable. • Breakfast was disappointing as several items listed as included (black pudding, tomatoes, strawberry yogurts, white bread) were missing. Overall, while the staff and cleanliness were excellent, the lack of comfort and missing amenities made the stay less enjoyable. Improvements to air conditioning, WiFi, soundproofing, and breakfast options would make a big difference.

The reception staff member who checked me in was very friendly. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Great blackout curtains. Surprisingly there was very little noise from the nearby motorway and service station right beside the hotel. We took the meal deal which was great value. The food in the adjoining Bewers Fayre was very good, no complaints at all. Would stay here again.

Falkirk North is a very convenient location for getting to the major sights in the area. There's a friendly reception when you arrive and large rooms. The beds are very comfortable and I slept like a log despite the dull rumble of motor way noise. The over-bath shower was okay and a late check-out was much needed for me after a week-long road trip. All this at a reasonable price makes it difficult to overlook Premier Inn.
