Residence Inn Philadelphia West Chester/Exton

One fine hotel. The staff is so friendly, the place is so clean, and don't get me started about breakfast. 5 kinds of hot sauce! Our room was large, set up nicely, quiet, and all in all this was a great hotel experience. It is very convenient, right off the highway, but far away enough to be quiet.

Mostly fine -- the main area for improvement is the breakfast ... pretty uninspired. Could use a bit of a pick up. Today, they didn't have any waffle mix (oops! Someone forgot to order?) Maybe even just add some potatoes/hash browns? Cheese slices? The desk staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel location is good - convenient. Rooms (suite) did the trick for us. Price is right.

There was a problem from the first minute we checked in. We had asked for a high floor & were given a first floor suite. Also asked where the handicap parking was located, the desk clerk told us they didn’t have any??? Of course they did, required by law, it was around the side of the building. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was relatively clean, however the tv in one bedroom did not work and the shower head was not working in one bathroom. We did ask multiple times for maintenance but never happened. When we returned to the hotel after dinner there was a thundering hurd of elephants in the room above us, jumping around until midnight and starting again at 7 am. We discovered from the assistant manager the next morning that there was a wedding party and lacrosse team staying the hotel, there had been a number of complaints. Since we were staying for 4 nights, the front desk was very nice and moved us to the second floor for the remainder of our stay. Fortunately the elephants had checked out!!!! We did try to contact the hotel manager as we felt some compensation should have been offered (which we were told would happen upon check out) due to all the problems. To date we have not heard from anyone!!!

Spent the night here to position ourselves for a day visit to Valley Forge. Front desk staff was cheerful, room was spacious and clean, bed/pillows super comfortable, breakfast fulsome - all at a decent price. Couldn’t have asked for more.

I was last at the Residence Inn by Marriott on October 9, 2022. (Apologies to the TripAdvisor community for the lateness of the review. Not sure why my review did not save last time back in November 2022.) This is such a great hotel that I truly desire to keep this gem a secret all to myself but travelers need to know about this awesome option. When I rate a hotel, I am looking at many aspects such as; hotel staff, amenities, location- convenience to get to and to other resources in the community such as food and entertainment, cleanliness- in both the common areas and in my room, parking. This hotel is very comfortable and family friendly. Please look at the pictures I was only able to upload two for some reason. See the spaciousness. You do not feel cramped in this hotel. After 5 hours of being stuck in the car and 4 kids from little ones to teens, I and they, need space. This hotel has SPACE! The hotel is clean in all areas; the elevator, stairs, common areas, room, bathrooms. The hotel was just CLEAN! I've never seen anything like it. Congrats to the cleaning crew and maid service. The hotel staff is very friendly but not overbearing. They were busy but did not ignore you. It was not heavily staffed when I was there, but they were polite and attentive. Customers need to be polite and patient. You receive respect from the staff. The hotel has a small concession area where you could purchase sodas, water, ice cream, candy, chips, soups etc. The hotel has two elevators. It does not have many floors so the elevator is pretty quick. You are not waiting long. The hotel room is AMAZING! Now we stayed in the suite and I highly recommend this. Don't tell the hotel, but I think they are undercharging for this! shhhhhh One King bed, one Queen bed and a pull out sofa. The kids quickly fanned out into the rooms and living room in the room so I did not get any pictures with them. I did get a picture of the kitchen. I am returning so I will get some more pictures. This is the most relaxing room I have ever stayed in, except maybe the Portofino hotel in Universal, Orlando- a resort hotel. Residence Inn by Marriott- you went all out for these suites. My kids loved the gas fireplace. Each room had a tv. The kitchen was roomy and sufficient to store food, make and eat meals. Each room had its own bathroom which was clean and spacious. The water pressure was good. The water was hot. No notes for Marriott. They nailed the room! Excellent! Awesome! The Residence Inn by Marriott is in the most perfect location. They are located easily and convenient to many many roadways, Rte 30, Rte 100 and the PA Turnpike. The hotel is away from any noise or busy roads...surprisingly so. BUT and I can't stress this enough, they are NEAR EVERYTHING. Uno's is right there in the same parking lot. Giant food, Target, McDonalds, Friendly's, Auto Zone- It's all right there, just a minutes drive. If you need it, you can get it quickly. If

My daughter and I stayed at the property for two nights in mid-June for a lacrosse tournament. Unfortunately, we left a few items in one of the drawers. I have called the property four times (spoken with three different front desk associates and left a voicemail for the manager Katie). The third front desk associate located the items (after trying to say there was nothing in lost and found, he actually went upstairs to the room and found the items - this was a few days after I checked out), put the items in a bag for the manager and indicated the manager would mail the items to me, as we live out of state and are unable to pick them up ourselves. So far I have not received the items and haven't hear from the manager. This has been going over a week and a half with no response. It's rather frustrating, as I'd like our items back. I am willing to pay for the postage. You know how to contact me. Also, the fitness center was closed. They provided a voucher for a fitness center about a quarter mile away. It looks like our corridor was either being renovated or unfinished, as one side was missing base molding. Derek R.

Excellent, excellent stay. We checked in yesterday evening and we’re greeted by the sweetest front desk attendant. She was professional and offered very helpful information right off the bat. The entrance lobby was also cozy, warm and inviting. It smelled great. It was all just a great first impression. When we got to our room we were very pleased with how clean and spacious it was. We stayed in a king room, and didn’t realize that meant it would have a full kitchen. We loved having all of the amenities. We brought home dessert and leftovers from our dinner and it was great being able to keep them refrigerated. The room was clean, stylish and comfortable. The configuration is nice because the bedroom area is slightly around a corner with no line of sight to the kitchen so it feels more peaceful and we didn’t have to look at a kitchen while trying to rest and relax. The bed was wonderful we both slept very well. Overall, we loved our room and our stay. The cleanliness of the room was great. Besides some small stains on the back of the bathroom door, the room was very clean from the kitchen to the bed. We absolutely would stay here again, it left a great impression on us for the brand.
