Ikos Andalusia

What can I say about the Ikos Andalucia. It is without any doubt the best all inclusive resort in the world that we have ever stayed at. We had a superb hotel room with a balcony overlooking the Deluxe Pool and restaurant with the Beach and the sea behind. During our stay we dined at all seven of the different themed superb a’ la Carte restaurants for lunch, breakfast and dinner. We also had lunch at the Chiringuito on the beach and the dined out at Tikitano both were equally fantastic. All the menus at these restaurants have been specially created by top Michelin star chefs, the quality and presentation of the food was outstanding. The service we received was exceptional and every single member of staff could not do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. I could easily name every single member of staff for giving us excellent service during our stay. I have shortlisted a selection for of the most memorable below. IKOS Andalusia did not fail to provide the excellent holiday experience for which the IKOS brand is renowned. Everything about the resort met the highest standards, from the rooms, the restaurants - 7 a la carte and 1 buffet style - to the pools and bars. The staff throughout the resort are amazing, always smiling and happy to help. There was always someone available to deal with any queries. The restaurants provide exceptional food and drinks and we ate every night, and some lunchtimes, in one of the seven a la carte restaurants. We lunched twice at Chiringuito on the beach and Darko ensured we were well looked after. Darko also looked after us in Flavors where we chose to have our breakfast every morning. The pools were very well managed with lots of sunbeds, towels and constant drinks and snacks available. You even had your sunglasses cleaned. We did use the spa on one occasion and were disappointed the steam room was not hot enough and there was no jacuzzi but these are the only shortcomings I can think of and they did not spoil our enjoyment during our six night stay. I would definitely recommend IKOS Andalusia.

We spent 5 days at the hotel and it was wonderful. We felt right at home. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help. Moreover, the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The food was also delicious, with plenty of variety and creativity in the dishes. It was an unforgettable time of rest. The feeling of peace and tranquility prevailed throughout the hotel. On top of that, the sun, the sea, and the good weather made us want to come back. We're already thinking about returning next year. Above all, we want to highlight the professionalism of the entire staff. Congratulations!

We are totally blown away by our experience at ikos Andalusia. It started with meeting our personal liaison Manuel. He looked after every whim and delivered on every request. As lifelong regulars of the Four Seasons in Limassol we didn’t think anything could be better but we were wrong. The hotel itself is out of this world. It’s modern, beautiful and so cleverly laid out. There are so many pools to choose from and top quality sun beds and plenty of space between so we never felt crowded. You could move from pool to pool if you wanted and always find free sun beds so importantly there is no stress or need to get up early. You’d have to have iron clad self control not to go home several kilos heavier because the service is so friendly and attentive. Whether it was wine, cocktails or Tattinger champagne, our glasses were never empty as drinks were either refilled or replaced constantly before they were empty. Our favourite restaurant is the Anaya which is a memorable experience not to be missed and every bit as good as its reputation. We were made to feel very special by Angela and Nathaniel. And it’s hard not to keep returning to the Buffet restaurant where you can eat quickly or make it last for hours. The range and choice of meats and vegetables in delicious sauces are different every night and deserts that are so artistic that there’s always someone videoing the selection. It was never packed, always felt relaxed and we loved being looked after by the wonderful Francisco and Sofia. The friendly buffet manager Razvan is doing a great job. We recommend trying all the restaurants even if just for lunch but like others we spoke to, we don’t recommend the Seasons restaurant as neither the food or the sterile service was up to the standards set elsewhere. It doesn’t detract from what has been a fantastic experience. We can’t wait to return next year.

Our second visit to this wonderful hotel didn’t disappoint. Last time we stayed in 2021 the new Deluxe area hadn’t been built so we simply had to come back for a visit. The service was on point ( we have visited all of the Ikos hotels in the chain now and Andalusia is one of the front runners for leading on this with our beloved Oceania) The dinner by the sea was served at the Chiringuito and was one of our favourite meals - we did feel for that ‘special ambience’ we preferred the top floor of Seasons- we chose steak for mains served with a caviar sauce. Our favourite lunchtime venue was Frescos and the deluxe pool bar delivered in terms of styling and service. This was the first Ikos holiday where no feedback was sought by WhatsApp/text/email halfway through the holiday which was a surprise - although in all honesty we had nothing to complain about. The white party was spoilt simply by the weather where we all huddled around the main bar as it was too windy to socialize outstde. I must admit I did miss the theatre performances by the same theatre company we saw a few years ago. We are aware they no longer have contracts with Ikos which is a great shame. We did see a theatre performance by (local?) performers for the Flamenco evening. We did feel it was a little lack lustre or maybe that’s just me. I would highly recommend Andalusia to all - special mention to Deluxe bar staff Dora ( who has energy and enthusiasm in abundance) and deluxe concierge Mandy, Sarah & Sofia in Seasons and Nicos the bar manager for the resort for the cocktail making lesson. We hired the Tesla and drove to Marbella old town and then visited Peurto Banus. We have been holidaying with Ikos since 2018. I have also photographed our favourite wines ( a fabulous Chardonnay and a favourite Primitivo Red).

Staff exceptional, food and range of drinks exceptional but when did ikos become a posh butlins far far far too many children with parents finding it acceptable for poor little tarquin to run ruly without his tablet or favourite comfort blanket. Had a lovely stay but ikos you are in danger of ruinning an absolutely perfect business into something that is spoilt by too many children. Lobby and main bars should be adult friendly not children friendly. We are going to dassia bay next month and if it is the same I will seriously consider other holiday resorts. Please take this on board as many other patrons feel similar. I must stress that your staff still remain utterly fantastic. DON'T SPOIL WHAT YOU HAVE WORKED SO HARD TO ACHIEVE
