Very beautiful Riad in a great location. Dinners in the restaurant were amazing - gourmet dinner each time. Great way to end a vacation in Morrocco - a couple of days at the beach with grilled fish by the boats for lunch and a beautiful place to stay with amazing meals.

Beautiful riad in a great location in a back street in the centre of the medina. Staff are really welcoming and the on-site restaurant is very good. Loved our room and chilling out on the rooftop terrace. The hotel arranged taxi pick-up from Essouira airport stops outside the medina walls but a local porter (with trolley) walks your luggage to the hotel -very handy when you first arrive and have no idea where to go!

Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff that make you feel at home in the beautifully and tastefully refurbished interior of Riad Malaika. Delicious and imaginative breakfasts, and the optional 3 course dinner was truly exceptional. We had previously eaten in some of Marrakech’s finest restaurants and this was the stand-out favourite for local Moroccan flavours with a contemporary twist. We’ll be back for sure!

Riad Malaika is incredibly historic and serves probably the best food in Essaouira. It is situated in the medina so that guests really feel immersed in the local way of life. As well as brilliant chefs, the managers are amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. We had a super week here and felt like friends of the home team by the end of our stay. The Riad has recently opened a cafe just round the corner so in the end we were enjoying their cookery talents for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

We stayed here for 4 nights & highly rate this place. The location is great- easy to find & close to everything you might need. Super friendly staff- everyone was so lovely to us throughout our stay & during check in we were provided with a map & recommendations & descriptions of places to see & things to do which was so useful. Our room was comfortable & clean, hot water & room made up daily with a private bathroom. Breakfast was served daily & they catered to my vegan request. The decor is beautiful! Really lovely building & there is a roof terrace, although we didn’t use it. Would highly recommend booking dinner here!! It was excellent! Really varied menu, a lot more choice than in other restaurants & the food served wouldn’t be out of a place in a top end London restaurant. You pick your dinner options the day before so everything is made fresh to order. Would have no hesitation in staying here again & was great value for money.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Essaouira after our time at Riad Mallaika. Stunningly decorated, charming and extremely helpful stuff, wonderful cooking (book dinner there for sure), beautiful roof terrace.
