Visiting Playa Cativo Lodge, definitely is to reconnecting with nature, this trip is an essential human need, You will see what are the many benefits of this unespected therapy immersing yourself in the natural embrace, it´s about slowing down, breathing deeply and feeling the gentle sound of the place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Besides the sun and rainforest bathing, the whale watching, birdsong, howler monkeys, blue butterflies, orange crabs, the round trip boat ride, the SANSA plane flight , we need to talk about the total staff , gardeners, Andrés the vegetable patch manager, Vale Roman if you belive in connection she is the best forest guide, the barman Moises a 10 plus human, Edward the best Chef ever, Ashley, Keily, Kinder, Andrea, waiters, concierge always just steps away from our Villa, Karla, Kyra, in reservation and sales department, Keneth General Manager. Thank you for always being there for us , my husband and I really appreciate your constant support, we keep unforgettable experiences staying at Playa Cativo lodge , it was a secret superpower, left a lasting mark, if you need to restart yourself embark on this odyssey.

We stayed for a couple of days at Playa Cativo Lodge. I knew everything was going to be perfect from the moment Teresa greeted us at the dock and helped us board the boat. Once our luggage was arranged and we were comfortably seated, she offered us a beer to enjoy the view of the gulf and the journey to Playa Cativo. Upon arrival, we were informed that the dock was under maintenance, and they had set up a special dock just for our arrival. Kenneth, the hotel manager, was waiting for us with a smile, and we slowly began to feel the magic of Playa Cativo. All the staff helped us and were very attentive. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL! The rooms are spacious and decorated in a way that makes you feel comfortable. Additionally, the internet works very well, and there are desks in the room to work. I recommend going for some cocktails at the bar and trying the tikis! The food is delicious; applause for the chef who put so much effort into preparing the dishes we tried. The decoration, colors, and flavors were amazing. And as the cherry on top, we had the opportunity to take a night boat tour. We didn’t understand what we would see until we started witnessing it with our own eyes. We saw how the movement of the boat caused the water to illuminate because the plankton was bioluminescent! This is etched in my memory as one of the special experiences in life that one has the chance to see and experience! All I can say is that the days we spent there were not enough. You always need a long stay to fully enjoy and connect with the wonderful nature surrounding Playa Cativo. I hope to return soon!

I was amazed from the moment I came down the boat and saw the most fantastic view of the rainforest just a few meters away, and the welcoming smiles of the staff were from the first time until the very sad farewell never extinguished, The rooms are an adventure luxurious fantasy, I had one of the best sleeps ever listening to the sea and sound of the forest. Kudos to the chef, I looked forward to every single meal, it was fresh and tasteful. Truly delicious.

The staff is so kind,the rooms are very clean,with amazing views,the food is great and the service is Unparalleled I would definitely recommend it! Can’t wait to come back! Thanks to Kenneth,Laura and in general thanks to all the team. Pura vida!

The room lovely, you have full sleep -rest. The diference experiences as are mangroove, dolphing sightseen, bioluminicense, are really on first level. The place allows interrelation with locals is easy, this adds the experience in the place.
