Grand Hotel

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It was a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable. We were upgraded from a standard room to an executive room. The room faced a busy street and the metro too. We thought it would be noisy, being an old hotel but they’ve upgraded their windows so you didn’t get outside noise. The room was large and had a king size bed. It had tea and coffee making supplies, a hair dryer, a safe and an ironing board and maybe an iron. The bed had nice linens. The bathroom was large too. They need a towel rack in the bathroom beside the sink, not just behind the door. Our room was on the 3rd floor and on the floor above, they had a nightclub or something. One night they had karaoke and another night, they had a disco or something. It was loud enough to be annoying but it didn’t go too late into the night so we just tuned it out.

The staff are warm and friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathe is quite large. The beds and pillows are comfortable enough. The breakfast is available at 7:30 and has an adequate variety, though not as expansive as others we have been too. No dosas nor filtered coffee but there is fresh omelettes and appam. Location is convenient to metro and 30 minutes to Fort Kochi area.

One of oldest hotels in kochi from 1960 Went to the restaurant for having dinner with friends tried out the most famous karimeen pollichathu with the suriyani fish curry , kids tried rice noodles and steaks tried out a kingfisher beer after long time , the alcohol and food slices by 11 pm

Stayed in Grand Hotel for three days. Good location, Ok level of amenities, Reasonable room comfort level, Ok level restaurant. Location - 9/10 Check in experience - 8/10 Front office - 7/10 (less space to receive guests, less seating space) Room - 7/10 (positioned as modern hotel, the amenities, deco and fittings are dated) Noise isolation is poor Restaurant - 7/10 (breakfast - 9/10, dinner - 6/10) When the restaurant gets crowded, the staff are overwhelmed, gets orders wrong etc.) Check out - 8/10 Value - 7/10 Recommend - May be Return - No

Beautiful family owned art deco hotel in the heart of Ernakulam and only a short tuk tuk ride away from the boat jetty to Fort Cochin. The staff was polite and attentive but the restaurant was the highlight serving amazing food from an extensive menu. Our room was spacious and well appointed, and although it faced the main road, the sound proofing was incredible.

I stayed with my family at the Hotel on 6th to 8th Dec'23 in Room no.103 & 104.Shocking all the taps in bathroom were giving hot water.Complained many times to Hotel,but they couldn't repair,on 8th didn't take bath & checked out.Paid Rs.5000 per room/ Night.The reception were not apologetic at all.Would never stay in this Hotel or recommended.
