Excellent place to stay with family and friends. Greenery, calmness and tasty food are the highlights. This is my third visit to Once upon the river resort, hats-off to the service of Excecutive Chef, Sreejith. The entire crew of the resort is so welcoming, supportive and friendly.

Wonderful stopover near Cochin airport. Only 10 minutes drive with complimentary taxi. Superb location on banks of Periyar river. Beautiful room, very nice pool and tasty food in restaurant. Very friendly and accommodating staff. 30 minute Uber drive to large shopping mall. Great final night stay before flight home.

Lovely setting near the airport
A beautiful setting with a nice big room and a swimming pool. The only thing I found a bit odd was that they wanted to check my room before I checked out. This meant I had to wait and didn’t leave a good impression. They did however let me change dates when I mistakenly booked the wrong night.

Property is Hidden Gem near cochin airport ,i booked this property at very short notice for small group,the response of hotel team is fast & exceptional My experience from checkin to checkout was flawless and we were treated by all staff members with smile Rooms,pool and food was good,chef at hotel was available for all our requests and he went out of the way to fulfil our needs They have ample of space to move inside the property and they have lots and lots of trees of different spices and their staff was more than happy to share their knowledge about these trees ***** with few samples of spices,i could enjoy the sound of silence throughout our stay at property River is bonus for guests as it seems its intrinsic part of property Manager at the property was also fully involve with the team to make our stay memorable Thank you

The property is too good and the the river view was totally a refreshing experience . Jayanth made sure the check in process was smooth and transparent. He made sure the property orientation was perfect and each and every one of us were aware of the timings of each operations in the property. Thank you Once upon a river for a memorable experience. We will be back soon with our families too.

Just 15 mins away from Cochin International airport, once upon the river offers a very comfortable stay with beautiful green surrounding. The staff are very courteous and the food is great. We enjoyed our stay. Definitely on our list to visit again, if we find ourselves in Cochin.

I spent six days here and it was a pleasant place to relax and unwind.
Its convenient for the airport and thanks to Uber get around was easy and its just a short ride to the metro.
The staff are very friendly and nothing seemed to be to much trouble.
The restaurant was OK, a large menu, but much of it wasn't available, but what there was was very tasty. Breakfast was simple but more than sufficient.
Would certainly stay again when I am passing through.

A very peaceful riverside guest house. Excellent service by all the team and the restaurant food is very good indeed. A bargain price wise.
