We have been returning to this island since 2005 and every time the staff have made our holiday one to remember The food is excellent and the new accommodation exquisite without losing that true Maldivian feel Most of the staff have been on this island for years and that says more than words how well they are treated by the new owners

This island is such a small little pearl in the Indian Ocean. Very natural which was what we were looking for! You can snorkel around the whole island and just going for snorkeling it’s possible to see different types of sharks, turtles, eagle rays and stingrays . The people of the staff are very nice a very big thank you has to go to Abir that everyday made sure that our room was in perfect condition, clean and always very gentle. Also the guys of the reception were very helpful when we had to any issues. I recommend this island for anyone who loves the sea and the real Maldives, no super luxury but real.

Recently stayed for 10 days at Eriyadu and didn’t want to leave. We had stayed here the previous year and knew what to expect, and the price for this time of year in the Maldives was too good to pass up on. Pros: Small but beautiful island. Excellent easy accessible snorkelling with amazing marine life to see including octopus; moray eels in different colours; sharks - black tip, white tip, nurse shark and someone said they saw a guitar shark; several different varieties of trigger fish; turtles; shoals of trevalies and numerous other fish in all shapes and sizes. Food was excellent for my taste (I’m not keen on spicy food) and I ate far too much! The rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable bed and good air conditioner. Situated in shady vegetation on the sandy beach a stones throw from the sea. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. It would be unfair to list names but our waiter Rayhan was exceptional. Cons: Almost 3 hour wait at airport for speedboat transfer and earlier than anticipated departure from the island all due to ‘boat problems’, meaning we arrived at Male airport 4 1/2 hours prior to our long flight home. Parts of the island need maintenance which to be fair is in process. The villas were in poor repair, but are being updated. We heard the island will be closed later this year for a more intensive update. The updating repairs were a little noisy at times but it didn’t bother us much. The AI is a bit restrictive, but I enjoyed the Pina Coladas! Would have been nice to include the iced lattes etc in AI. Summing up: would we come again? Yes definitely if the prices remain good value.

Just returned from a weeks stay at Eriyadu Island Resort & felt compelled to write a review . Absolutely loved my stay , everyone was so friendly staff & other guests alike . It being one of the smaller island there was still plenty to do , snorkelling around the house reef was amazing , I’m not the most confident swimmer but it was shallow enough to feel safe & still see the beautiful fish . There are plenty of other watersports available & the Dive School activities are advertised daily on the board near the restaurant . Loved the food - my only complaint would be we ate far too much , really enjoyed the various curries they served they were all delicious but other options are available . Remember this is an island & all supplies are shipped in by boat so must be a mission in itself . Yes the rooms are a bit dated but we’re always kept spotlessly clean ( thank you Sagar ) as is everywhere , we only slept & showered in it , we certainly didn’t go with plans to stay in the room all day !! Renovations are ongoing but their plans sound amazing & would love to return to see the changes made . Would I go back - most definitely if they’d have us .

Just returned home yesterday after a lovely week at this beautiful place . I can truly say it was all brilliant I can’t fault anything . The room we had - 344 - with direct access to the beach and sea was perfectly situated and I think probably the nicest room on the island .! . All the staff were polite friendly and helpful - big thanks to Sagra who cleaned our room everyday and was so friendly and helpful . We had plenty of towels for both the bathroom and beach . The restaurant was as lovely all the staff again friendly and helpful and the food was excellent we enjoyed so many types of curry and everyday was something different. If you don’t like curry there are still other options which looked nice . The bar overlooking the sea was good we had cocktails and wine - all nice . the evening entertainment was varied quiz night , singers, karaoke etc and a good array of books for swopping . The dive centre is great and we went with them one day to snorkel and look for turtles , the guys all so patient with us less confident . That was a great afternoon and the fish we saw were stunning . We also snorkelled direct from the beach , shallow enough to walk to the reef which is good if you don’t like deep water but still saw so many fish. The speedboat transfer was fun and efficient and the guys move cases from your room and on and off the boat so no need to drag your cases - thanks to them all . Thank you to Nuf for making us so welcome and giving us lots of info . There are some renovations going on but didn’t bother us at all . We sincerely thank everyone who works on the island - cleaners -chefs - kitchen staff - waiters - gardeners - admin staff etc . Thanks again - I hope to revisit one day
