Premier Inn Epsom Central

The hotel room is very run down and the entire hotel seems in need of refurbishing. Also became very sick aftet eating dinner in the resturant. Breakfist the hot parts are not hot but barely warm. Avoid epsom centeral at all costs. Resrurant staff kept bringing out wrong food likely contributed me getting sick

The room was disgusting. In such a state it didn’t give any confidence that the place was actually clean. Mould by the windows and on the walls, dirty walls, dingy lighting, paint peeling. The breakfast was lukewarm, the glasses were dirty & the restaurant smelt like stale smoke. The staff member that checked me out just stared at me whilst I listed my complaints. He didn’t offer to try & resolve anything, nor did he offer any kind of apology. All in all an absolutely appalling experience. To make matters worse, the customer service (or lack thereof!) that I’ve received upon making my complaint & been refused a refund(!), has been equally unsatisfactory. Despite telling the team I have photos to show how awful the room was, no-one has asked me to see them, & have refused a refund. My mind is blown at how poorly I have been treated & continue to be treated.

The building really requires a refresh and refurbishment. The carpets were dirty, walls and paintwork shabby and peeling. The outside walls very green and discoloured. The restaurant floors and tables very sticky and cutlery dirty. Food was ok for our evening meal. The breakfast didn't happen as Unfortunately the chef called in sick, but continental was lacking in quality/quantity. Staff were lovely.

The room was clean & a good size, unfortunately only one arm chair even though there were 2 of us. You get what you pay for now so no extras like biscuits etc. We ate at the Haywain on site, the lady behind the bar was lovely & when she took our order she double checked on everything as I’m dairy intolerant. Even the chef came out to confirm that what I ordered was safe. The guy who brought the food out seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but - although to be fair there were a lot of changes planned for the restaurant so I guess people were a bit unsure of their future employment. At the time of writing this review we haven’t had breakfast but looks like your standard cooked English breakfast with all usual cereals etc. TBH we probably wouldn’t book a stay here again with so many choices nearby but no real cause to complain about anything.

Maj on the front desk is a top man, very helpful When asking for things. Very polite and friendly. He seemed abit rushed off his feet when we arrived at the hotel but still maintained a positive and professional attitude with all the guests there.

The room was clean and both beds were made nicely. The hotel has great free parking guests. The staff were Helpful, especially RAJ, checked us in swiftly and helped with any problems. There is a pub/restaurant across feom the hotel, that serves a variety of good food.
