Sehr freundliches und nettes Personal. Leckeres Frühstück Buffet und sehr Feines Fondue im Stübli. Komme wieder 😉

We had the pleasure to stay at this hotel for one entire week for our ski trip. All I can say is that they completely renovated it and it’s so luxurious, cosy, elegant and crazy view! Staff is like a family, restaurant is cosy and traditional Swiss and the location is top notch. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone who’s interested for a great stay in Engelberg! Marco and Ada

Nominally a 3-star hotel, I believe, but a 5-star bedroom was the star attraction for our two-night stay over Christmas; definitely worth paying extra for the 'de luxe' room, very spacious with sofa and armchairs, and a stylish, well-designed bathroom. Surprising that other rooms, it seems, and all the ground floor public areas, haven't been modernised in decades, giving downstairs a quite appealing sense of faded glory. We had two excellent dinners on the good-value half pension arrangement (the first out at the nearby Engelberg Hotel as the Schweizerhof kitchen closed for Christmas Eve). Friendly service throughout, and a decent breakfast. Everything in this appealing resort town is on the doorstep, and the overall effect with snow-covered streets at Christmas is delightful.

Traveled in June as a chaperone for a school trip. Really loved the location in a small village with shops and restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast was good. Yes there is a sign not to pack your lunch. Imagine if our group of 21 all made a lunch. Really not fair to the hotel or other question. I’d love to return and stay longer than 2 nights.

Very bad experience... Though this hotel has nice rooms but they could improve drastically on services.. You won't find a single person for help if you need anything at night. One of the Staff is very very rude, arrogant and stingy. She has no manners on how to speak with guests. We were having fruits in breakfast and since we had a bus to catch so when we tried to take those fruits with us (apples & pear) but that arrogant manager asked us to leave the fruits in their hotel only saying "you can't pack your lunch" here. I mean common, grow up!! We are not kids, we travel the world. Keeping 2-3 fruits for a family of 5 is not packing lunch for god's sake. On the top of it, she pasted a circular in the breakfast area that this food is not for packing lunch, bla bla, the very next morning. And even of you are not generous, at least learn some basic manners of communication. You can't shout at your guests and there is a way to politely inform the same. We have never experienced such a horrible hospitality anywhere. Please stay away from this hotel at any cost.

Amazing experience, the couple that appear to own the hotel are extremely attentive and will do anything to ensure you have a wonderful stay. They speak 5+ languages between them, we had a wonderful conversation about the languages of Switzerland and all the dialects. I’m not sure if this would apply to all bookings as we were in a large group, but the 3 course meal that was served was wonderful, with full service and wonderful beverage options including their vine, apple cider and beer. In my opinion, the experience was that of a 5 star hotel Will definitely be staying again
