Ella Retreat

The location is exceptional—just outside of Ella, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere while still being easily accessible. What stood out the most was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. They were always helpful and took great care of every request. Another highlight was the tours offered by the hotel. They were well-organized and a lot of fun, allowing me to discover the best of Ella. Overall, it was a fantastic stay—I can highly recommend this hotel!

Our stay at Ell Retreat was nothing short of serene. The atmosphere was very peaceful. The room and the linen were immaculately clean and spotless, which made our stay even more comfortable. The food was delicious and satisfying, adding to the overall experience. A special mention must go to Kushan from the staff, his warm and homely service truly stood out. He made us feel right at home with his attentiveness and kind demeanor. We’re looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking tranquility and excellent service!

One night stay thankfully, a bit too close to nature for me too be honest, nice welcome by the ladies in charge went to waterfall which was ok some rubbish around so went back to cabin, order dinner which was delivered which was ok, monkeys around the cabin which was nice, room basic but had things that you may need for a coffee, never bothered with archery just a target on a hill, lots of bugs which is to be expected and some sort of animal in the bathroom making a strange noise so decided to shut door, blankets and pillows not clean marks all over them slept with clothes on seemed cleaner was to sleep could be a long night.

The location is amazing with waterfall view. If you are looking for a relaxing environment with most amazing people working I would highly recommend this place. The girl and the aunty who works here is just amazing and friendly. Very supportive and pleasant. Food is really great and the rooms and clean and well maintained.

My partner and I stayed in a glamping tent at Ella Retreat. It has been a fantastic experience and an amazing opportunity to connect with nature. The room within the tent is beautiful and has all the amenities that you will need including a bathroom with warm water, comfortable bed and breath taking views (in tent 1). The bathroom is private and situated just next to the tent. The hotel is situated in the jungle just outside of Ella (around 10 minutes outside of Ella town which can be easily accessed by tuktuk). During our stay, Danushka arranged for us a tuk tuk to take us to and from the city, free of charge. The food here has been excellent and Danushka goes above and beyond to make you feel safe, at home and comfortable. We also had a chance to try our archery at the retreat. The most amazing thing is the night. Make sure you open your window blinds so you can watch the fireflies in the evening. There is also the sound of insects and bats which we found very peaceful. You can also hear the flow of the beautiful waterfall which is located just next to the retreat! This is a fantastic experience for any nature lovers. If however, you are frightened of insects then it may not be for you. As the property is located in the centre of tropical nature, it comes with the obvious reality that there will be some insects, frogs and other tropical animals here and there. But if you love nature, then this is the perfect place to experience something that few people will have the opportunity to do. A little hitten gem in the middle of the jungle 🌸 This place is so beautiful and peaceful. A little quiet getaway where the only sound you hear is from the birds, crickets and the waterfall running 💕 Truly an amazing experience. We loved the staff sooo much. The kindest, sweetest, most helpful people we’ve ever met. Both our two sweet hostesses, the security guy and our favourite Tuk Tuk driver was amazing 🌸💐 10/10 for the best staff in Sri Lanka 🥰
