Hilton Garden Inn Sacramento/Elk Grove

I stayed one night while working in the area. The location is great as there are several restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean, but the furniture in the room was pretty beaten up. The bed was very comfortable. The ac unit worked well with a constant fan option to offer white noise in the background. The reason for the three star review is for two issues I encountered. The first was the extremely slow service for dinner. I ordered a $33 salad and it took over 30 minutes with only one other table dining in the restaurant. The second issue was after dinner the door mechanism would not work. Mind you, it took three trips before the front desk staff realized we had a problem. 45 minutes later it was determined the door mechanism couldn’t be fixed. So, I was let into my room with the master key from maintenance, but couldn’t leave or I would be locked out. Really, not just a new room? Not that I planned on going anywhere, but….. So, my stay was a three star experience; however, it could’ve been a four or five star experience had things gone differently.

Nice and clean lobby. The staff were very friendly. I booked and requested for our floor level and room location through the app, but I was not given the request. I ended up getting another floor level and the view of part of a roof. Room was clean and cozy.

The parking lot was full of trash and cigarettes buds. The night person was rude, seemed like they didn’t want to be bothered. Just got a very cold vibe from them. Asked if I wanted my points or credit towards stay. I chose credit. Got to the room, there were cob wells in closet. Found a dead roach in the tub, probably died from all the hair left in the sink and tub. Beds were hard, tv was small and room was outdated. Wish I stayed at a Courtyard vs here. The breakfast was meh and amenities where unpleasing. Requested Kimberly to call back but never heard back, spoke to the receptionist twice! They were sold out to move me to another room. Staff apologized but just doesn’t cut it for us tho. The carpet was gross. It wasnt vacuumed very well

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the staff was nice, parking was easy. I especially appreciated the late checkout time of 2pm (available if you are part of their rewards program, which is free), and the business center which is a computer and printer and which really came in handy on this particular trip. My schedule didn’t allow for trying out their breakfast so I can’t comment on that.

The price shown on the hotel website ended up being jacked up $100 for “fees and services” since I got no services and bought no merchandise, these charges were not justified. The company could not explain the charges and refused to remove them.

I even stayed at this property on multiple occasions, just for fun and relaxation. My Mother passed away in September and did not have ample room at my own home for 15 people. So I booked several rooms at the Property to accommodate my visitors from out of town including mt cousin whose the lead singer for " En Vogue Singing Group" Cindy loved your pillows I was told.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Sacramento Elk Grove on September 30th for one night using Hilton Honors points. BJ's Brewhouse shares the parking lot and we enjoyed dinner there prior to checking in. Quick access to the freeway made it easy to come and go from the property. Parking was plentiful and the lobby updated and clean. Check in was quick and we found our room clean. The room decor is not modern but we didn't see any carpet stains or scuffed furniture. This hotel is right off of Hwy 99 but the noise was not perceptible in our room. My only complaint is the very loud air conditioning unit which would turn on and off all night. Jackson at the front desk was helpful and courteous. All in all a great value depending on the price.

I had the BEST experience staying here. I am a 65 year old woman and was travelling alone to attend a 3 day horse competition in Elk Grove. I thought the parking lot was well lit, plenty of parking within steps of entrance. I felt very safe coming and going. The lobby was super clean and up to date. The front desk employees were always friendly and helpful. I called to let them know I would be checking in late that night, and when I arrived they were expecting me and gave me a room on the 4th floor away from the wedding guests who were staying there. I loved the restaurant for breakfast. I ordered a hot breakfast to go each morning, and had delicious eggs, bacon and toast. They filled my Yeti each morning with ice and water. From ordered to out the door was about 10 minutes! My room was spacious, clean and the bathroom was large and great lighting. Nice big TV that didn't take a PhD to figure out the remote and channels!! A/C worked quickly to cool the room. It was steps to the freeway 99 and lots of great choices of places to eat all around the hotel. Easy access off the main road, in and out. Several gas stations on the corner. It was Labor Day weekend, and the cost of my room was $210 which I thought was totally reasonable. I will definitely stay here again next year while attending this same horse show.
