Garten Hotel

Beautiful place, friendly helpful staff, we had a wonderful time. They handled transportation to and from the airport, helped us book great excursions, took care of getting our son medication when he was dealing with stomach upset. It was great! They could definitely use more chairs by the pool and/or down on the beach as the pool area can get quite crowded if guests from the other property come over. A bit of lighting near the doors of each room would provide a little comfort as well. But all in all, I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel was beautiful! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and organized!! The surfing was epic and the beach gorgeous. We will definitely return! The family villas were spacious and quiet, and we love sitting by the pool looking out at the beautiful waves. There are a great local restaurants surrounding the hotel and we went on some cool expeditions that the hotel organized. Highly recommend!

Garten is my favorite hotel in El Salvador, the views, the beach, the food and drinks! They help with everything and make sure you’re having the best time truly a gem. Love having Pina coladas in the pool, or catching the sunset at the stunning beach with black sand below.

This was one of my most relaxing trips in a long time! My partner and I stayed for 5 nights over American Thanksgiving holiday in the Penthouse suite and it was perfect. Garten had everything you need starting with delicious breakfast, attentive staff on call via WhatsApp, private excursions to the volcano, lake, waterfalls (Jairo honestly made our trip!), and views for days! I highly recommend this boutique hotel that mixes relaxation and adventure with great food. While my partner surfed; I worked out at the gym, read by the infinity pool, and did yoga! Perfect place to connect as a couple and time for yourself as well!

Amazing place to stay in el zonte. I took my wife and two young daughters here for a week during November. We decided to stay at the villas to give us some extra room. The villas do not have an ocean view but that doesn’t take too much away from the experience. We spent days exploring the area and would chill out at the hotels pool for great drinks and ocean views. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner at PROA several times during the stay all the meals were excellent. They offer room and drink service directly to the villas which was awesome after a long day with the kids and wanting to enjoy a cocktail or dinner by our private pool. If it was just my wife and I we would have chosen the main hotel to feel more connected to the ocean experience. The staff was lovely and the neighborhood is extremely safe and friendly. Great places to grab ceviche or a beer. For those traveling to zonte for the first time I was blown away the Uber was available in this region of El Salvador. I took it 15-20 times during our week here to grab food or hit the supermarket. Prices on Uber are super cheap compared to the us and the drivers are great.

We recently visited El Salvador for 10 days. Stayed at 4 different hotels/beaches. Garten was my favorite out of all the places we stayed. Excellent service and beautiful hotel. We stayed at the penthouse and it was great. The staff was 10/10. Everyone was very helpful and super nice. Very safe location with 24 hours security. When we first got there we were unsure how the experience would be as it’s in an awkward location, it’s an upcoming area with other establishments currently under construction. The villas are not attached they are within walking distance. We originally had a villa booked but during the week which is when we were there, they don’t have bar service at the villa pool, ask prior to booking during the week if you’re looking to have that access at the villa. The villa is great for families/bigger group for sure. The penthouse was the better choice for couples and you have ocean view. The staff was very nice to arrange the change to the villa during our stay. Gracias a los bartenders Alexander and Carlos who were awesome, very attentive, super friendly, delicious drinks and even put great music we requested since the hotel wasn’t busy this time of year. Our waiter during meals was Julio, who also provided the best service. Food/drinks were great, on the pricier side but worth it. The beach was BEAUTIFUL. If you’re looking to relax and hit some waves this is the place. The sunsets here are breathtaking. If you’re looking for nightlife and party this isn’t it as it’s in a quiet area.
