Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge

We spent 4 nights here and loved it. The lodge is right on the river 2 minutes from Crocodile Bridge Gate. The tents are beautifully comfortable with a/c, lovely shower and viewing deck. There’s a small pool overlooking the river great for cooling off after a day out. Charmaine and Anton were super-hosts: always on hand and joining us for supper every evening which was always something cooked on the braai by Anton with fresh Salads , veggies, etc and something different every evening. The food was delicious here and breakfast cooked to order or they give you a little cool box with yoghurt, fruit, juice if you’re out early morning in the park. We had a drive with Dylan which was fantastic and we saw and learnt loads. We also did some self driving from the Melalane Gate (25 mins away by road or drive to that area through the park) We were lucky to spot the Big 5 during our stay including a beautiful leopard in a tree and a rhino cooling off in the water. We watched elephant, crocodiles and hippo from the lodge. There’s a lovely authentic, real South African vibe to this lodge and we hope to be back.

Very nice spot close to Crocodile Bridge gate. The owner and staff is very helpful. Dinner and breakfast is perfect. Animals get close to the fence, you can watch them while you drink you coffee :) tents have a very comfortable bed and airconditioner.

I had the privilege of staying over at Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge for 2 nights on the 30th Nov and 1 Dec '24. This was my 2nd time and it was as pleasurable as the 1st time. Friendly people, a clean functional, comfortable room and delicious meals. The young couple that is managing the place is an asset to the owners. They are always very helpful and friendly and willing to assist in every way they can. I had a problem with the airconditioning in our room - a necessity in the humid hot lowveld climate - and it was fixed in no time. I will always recommend this place to anyone and will certainly return whenever I am travelling in that direction.

We stayed five nights at Crocodile Bridge Lodge and enjoyed every minute. A fabulous view across Crocodile River with Elephants within touching distance and other birds and animals coming down to drink. The managers were great hosts and all the staff warm and friendly. The food needs a special mention because every meal we ate there was home cooked and excellent. Mostly it was cooked on the Braai and the portions were plentiful. I would highly recommend this lodge and would certainly return. A big thank you to all concerned.

Great comfortable accommodation with a view of Kruger Park, friendly staff and excellent food service. We could see lions passing by from the balcony and hear hippos grazing at night. Nice conversations with other guests at dinner and on the viewing terrace. We loved the breakfast packs they give if you want to set off into the park very early.

PERFECT LOCATION. The hosts Allan and Michelle made us feel so welcome, could not have done more for us. Sorted a guide dirk who was awesome. even got me a cake for my birthday and got a staff member to sing happy birthday to me in swahili which was fantastic. the view over kruger will stay with me for ever. . Thanks again for looking after us and the memories
