Lion Sands - Tinga Lodge

The lodge staff were welcoming and made us feel like family. Our guide Ollie and tracker Heaven were the best. Engaging and very knowledgeable. They took good care of us. The food was delicious and the rooms were beautiful. The entire experience was amazing. Highly recommend.

Buffalos by the hundreds, Elephants in groups of 20, two separate prides of ten Lions each, three Leopards, two Rhinos, two fighting Giraffes (and many peaceful Giraffes), one Civet, Warthogs, Hippos, Zebras, Kudu, Nyala, Waterbucks, Bushbucks, and more Impalas than we could count. Our guide Sam and tracker Ntsako maximized our 4 night stay! And all of these sightings were right alongside our vehicle. So close that as a pride of lions approached us, a curious cub licked the boot of our tracker who remained motionless as the dominant male was on 3 feet further away! We connected well with Sam and Ntsako who answered our every question and shared their knowledge. Not only were they trained and certified, but they were following in their fathers’ and grandfathers’ professions of guiding and tracking. The lodge was comfortable. The food was incredible and nicely presented. The staff made arrangements so my wife with her wheelchair could participate in all the activities like dinner in the Bush. We really enjoyed our visit, especially the vervet monkeys playing on our private balcony and the Nyala we had to walk around to get from our cabins to the lodge!

Amazing! The accommodations, food, guide, trackers and staff were fantastic! We saw so many animals and learned so much in a beautiful setting .
