Compared to other Africa Camps this camp / tents don't have umbrellas, covered braai or hot tubs. We had to cook our pre-ordered braai meals inside which was a little bummer. * The pan and small oven in our tent needs replacing. * Some window zippers are broken. * Water temperature jumps between hot and cold. * The camp uses septic tanks and when the wind blows in a certain way there is a smell that can linger a bit but goes away. Well stocked honesty bar with some board games for the rainy days. Great location. Friendly host.

We loved the fact that we were right next to the Sabie River. The facilities are great and it is what it says it is - glamping. Enjoy braais and the great out doors. The onsite adventure hike is also well worth it.

Fantastic in every way. Tents very well appointed, spotless and comfortable. Positioned on the Sabie River. You feel you are camping, but in comfort. Game trip great by Keegan Mangova Safaris. Massage amazing. Michelle and Ryan very accommodating. All in all, a wonderful experience and highly recommended. Thank you.

What a fantastic stay at Africamps Mackers in Hazyview. Not only is the location breathtaking, but the accommodation is perfectly crafted for a glamping experience. It had everything we needed. We had the best time and are definitely Africamp fans.

We had a lovely stay at AfriCamp with an extended family. We rented two tents. Although we had big ambitions of exploring the area, we thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Camp, using the pool, doing the river walk and relaxing. Our children absolutely loved the time and they did want to take pig the dog home :) To top it off we saw a crocodile, a snake and an otter on top of the great birdlife. Thank you!

Management is largely absent. Gas geysers go cold while showering so you have to keep closing then opening the taps to ignite the geyser again. For the price you pay, it would be nice to have the tents serviced daily. Limited facilities for the children. Fishing and birds advertised but no fish and limited birds. Inform patrons when is fishing season.

This was our 2nd time in Africamps (after Plettenberg) and again we loved the experience. We had the braai baskets in the evening and the breakfast baskets in the morning - highly recommend this. Honesty shop is very convenient. The owner was always there to help and very reactive via whatsapp. Very relaxing to wake up in the morning with all the nature sounds around us. During the day we visited Kruger and the Panorama Route (1 day per excursion). Don’t hesitate and book a tent here; you won’t regret it :)

My son loved the idea of camping, with marshmallows by the fire under the stars with the crickets chirping and fireflies sliming over the water. My wife loved the comfy bed and aircon with the bathroom onsuite. For me it was the best of both worlds, rustic enough to make it memorable for kids and fancy enough to make my wife feel comfortable.
