Edinburgh Leith Waterfront

Really comfy bed. Used as a base for a few days in Edinburgh. Breakfast isn't great - cold, overdone. Wouldn't pay for breakfast again - I'd go out. Walking distance to HMY Britannia and easy to catch a bus into city. A walk to Port of Leith is literally along the back of the Premier Inn - nothing to do there but a nice walk along the Firth of Forth, Forth Road Bridge visible in the distance.

If you can live with the watered down shower wash then this is a great value option. It's a bit bleak and 'functional' looking from the outside but once you're in the reception welcome is quick and friendly, the room is a decent size, great shower, large TV, comfy bed and the bars & cafes of Leith are less than 10 minutes away by tram, the tram stop is a short walk from the hotel.

Great location, right on the waterfront, with a Brewers Fayre next door. Hotel is a little tired and the room a little musty smelling, however, the hotel has started to refurbish the rooms, so should be like new soon. Mark on reception was super helpful.

It was a comfortable stay and as always the bed was good and we had good nights sleeps. The staff were friendly and helpful, as always. We were sent next door to the Brewers Fayre for breakfast and the range of food was extensive and generous although cooked breakfast overall was cheap products. Strangely, I felt the scrambled eggs were powdered and made with water.. I may be wrong but… the fruit selection was lovely and lots of cereals if that’s your thing. Good selection of pastries and bread etc. my biggest complaint would be the premier inn room. It was very tired… window broken, curtains hanging off, tv control not working, skirting boards rotten and grubby. Certainly needs an update.

Not the best stay I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Edinburgh Leith Waterfront from 16th February to 17th February, just for 1 night. After 7 hours of traveling, I arrived at the hotel at midnight, exhausted and just wanting to rest. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Additionally, the room smelled of smoke, which made my stay even more unpleasant. Upon arrival, I was given a room that was the furthest from reception. While I did not mind the distance, after a long journey I was not prepared to walk back to reception to report these issues. Despite the outside temperature being close to zero, the room window was left open, and the heating was switched off. I immediately turned on the heating, but the room remained freezing. I called reception three times, each time waiting for approximately 3 minutes only to hear a recorded message saying that the team was busy. When the heater finally started warming up, it made loud noises throughout the night, disturbing my sleep. The next morning, when I raised my concerns with the young lady at reception, she simply dismissed my complaint, stating, "Yes, we know all the heaters do that." This response was unacceptable and displayed poor customer service. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and the lack of care shown by your staff. I suggest that your staff receive proper training in customer service to ensure future guests are treated with the respect they deserve.
