Very convenient in location. Breakfast is good. Cleanliness in room should be improved.

Great location being only a 5 minute walk from the station. Breakfast was nice and fresh, and room was decent too. Good stay all round.

Our anniversary holiday The staff were very helpful nothing too much made. Stay nice the room was clean and smelt Very fresh I asked for an extra cup and it was brought to the room Always asking if we needed cleaning or clean towels took away the rubbish, Breakfast was nicely cooked plenty of choice for young and old

Fantastic stay. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows were so comfortable that we had a great sleep. Breakfast was very well organised and tasty. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend booking this hotel

Overall Experience has been quite good, location of the hotel is excellent with close proximity to Waverley station. Surrounded by many Indian and Vegetarian options. Family room size is quite fair ( If compared with any other hotels in Europe).

We have known Premier Inn for years, so we are familiar with the rooms. We weren’t surprised—except by a few details in our room (124): • The bathroom was in poor condition due to water damage, • The room was quite dirty: there were hairs on the bathroom wall and dried nasal mucus on the bedroom wall next to the bed, • As for breakfast: the coffee machine was always missing something—either the milk, the spoons, or the cups, • The children’s beds were too short and really uncomfortable, • There was also a bloodstain on one of the children’s beds, • Overall, the room was very poorly soundproofed. From 5 a.m. onwards, we could hear doors slamming and chairs being dragged across the floor—which is surprising, given that the floor is carpeted. All in all, it was quite disappointing.

Took a family trip to Edinburgh for 2 nights and went with our family favourite Premier Inn. Hotel was easy to find and nice and central. Entrance hall a bit unappealing - you have to go upstairs to find reception desk and the entrance hall seems to have become neglected as a result. Friendly staff checked us in which was nice. Room was probably on the lower end of the spectrum of acceptability - half the lights didn’t work, signs of mould forming in the bathroom, tap over sink very stiff and tired, towel hook on back of door hanging off. Beds were comfortable though. Had a dessert one evening with drinks. The fruit salad seemed to consist almost entirely of oranges and apples. Unless you plan to only use the WiFi for emails, it’s next to useless - the free option is throttled to resemble connectivity akin to 90’s dial up seed. On the whole ok but would expect more from Premier Inn.

Unacceptable Air Conditioning Policy – Avoid in Warm Weather* **Rating:** ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) **Review:** I stayed at this hotel recently and was extremely disappointed by the lack of functional air conditioning—a critical amenity, especially during warmer months. Upon check-in at 5 PM, the AC was off. Reception informed me it could only be activated centrally and asked me to wait 30 minutes. It eventually turned on, but after midnight, it shut off again. Despite the control panel displaying 19°C, the unit blew no cold air. By 3 AM, my room was unbearably hot, making sleep impossible and leaving me with a headache. When I raised the issue at checkout, the manager admitted this was a *long-standing problem*: the hotel’s energy supplier (E.ON) centrally controls the AC, and staff can only override it temporarily. He claimed to have fought for a fix "in vain." This is inexcusable. Guests should not suffer due to the hotel’s failure to resolve a basic infrastructure issue. Worse, this policy seems to affect *all* guests—making the property unfit for stays in warm weather. I’m sharing this experience to warn others. Until management installs independent AC controls, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Only stayed for 1 night. Hotel just round from Princess Street and 5mins from Waverley Station . Reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and comfortable. Had booked meal deal that had plenty of choice and was great value . Would stay again.

We stay in Premier Inns a lot and this stay was fantastic. We were a little concerned on arrival as there was so much work going on in the area and a nightclub across the way but you would never know this as the hotel is so well insulated and we never heard a thing. The staff were really helpful and friendly from those on reception, at breakfast to anyone you passed in a corridor. The breakfast was fantastic value for 2 adults and / free children. Only complaint my daughter had was they didn’t have hot chocolate as a breakfast option.

Great location, and relatively modern. The entrance to the hotel is on ground level but the actual reception is on the first floor. Staff helpful and friendly, especially the younger guy who was doing the cleaning, enjoyed our chat about Call of Duty!! The room was clean and comfortable, nice chair as well. Bathroom well appointed, I prefer a shower cubicle than a 'shower over the bath' so that was a positive for this room (Room 217) Bed comfortable, extra pillows available in wardrobe. Had a good sleep. Breakfast good, hot food tasty and readily available...also enjoyed the pancakes! Hotel location was great, equal distance from the Assembly Rooms where I was attending an event, Waverley Station , Princes Street and St James shopping centre. Also close to Hard Rock Cafe! Some bars and restaurants right outside, not too noisy
