I stayed at this Travelodge for six nights (13-19 March 2025). Refurbishment work was ongoing throughout this period. Due to this: • the elevators were unavailable • I had to change rooms half way through my stay • the café and bar were unavailable. I asked whether I could receive a discount in view of these inconveniences, but was told that this was not possible. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and did everything they could to minimise the inconvenience. They moved my belongings between rooms in the middle of my stay (I had to pack them up for this purpose), and would have carried my suitcase up and down the several flights of stairs if I had considered it necessary. The refurbishment was mentioned in the small print near the bottom of the hotel’s website, in connection with ‘Big news!’ concerning ‘exciting improvements.’ But it was not mentioned prominently near the top of the website.
