I had specifically requested a high-floor room during my booking at Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh, but unfortunately, I was assigned a room on the ground floor. This was quite disappointing as I was hoping for a better view, but the window offered no significant scenery. The room itself was decent and met basic expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The location is great, situated next to a shopping mall and very close to Princes Street, making it convenient for shopping and sightseeing. However, the experience was slightly marred by not receiving the room I had requested.

The bed mattress was too soft and uncomfortable. Cleanliness of the bathroom could be improved. Good location.

Very pretty hotel but a bit far from the station (especially if you're lugging luggage). But then again, Edinburgh is all uphill so .. Whatever it is, it was worth the hike as it was a warm and comforting hotel.
