Pros: Great location, within easy walking distance to most Edinburgh attractions, such as Edinburgh castle, royal mile, princess street, Beverly station, grass market and so on. Friendly staff, relatively new building and facilities. Cons: the room cannot be ventilated as the window is fixed. My room was very smelly, smells like dogs.

Services attitude of most of staff is not up to expectations. Not helpful, initiative and sincere. With the only exception of the lady duty manager who serviced us in the first evening upon boarding. Breakfast and dinner combo package is a steal indeed. Very nice and cost effective.

Its a Premier INN, a low cost, basic hotel room. The rooms are a good size but the double bed has only two pillows. There was only one large towel in the room. There is no fridge. We were given only one room key which can be a bit annoying. It has minimal service, minimal staff, you can self check-in and just drop the keys to check out. It is Ok if you are clear on what you are getting.

酒店提前入住需要付款10磅、地理位置不錯、後面就是royal mile,基本服務需求都可以滿足,這個連鎖是不提供拖鞋的。

위치도, 미리 예약, 결제해서 가격도, 서비스도 모두 굿이었어요. 특히 대표가 손으로 직접 쓴 엽서와 초콜릿바도 인상적이었습니다. 담번에 에딘버러 간다면 꼭 다시 가고픈 호텔입니다^^ 다시 리모델링했는지 청결도도 너무 좋았습니다. 단 한가지, 이름이 바뀌었는데 트립닷컴에 있는 이전 호텔명으로 한창 그 앞에서 헤맨건 좀 아쉬움으로 남습니다

Stayed 3 nights with another adult and a child in a family room. While we enjoyed our stay as the location, price and breakfast could not be beat, the family room was very small in my opinion cramming a double bed and a small sofa bed in a room not leaving much room for even the suitcases. Sofa bed was not as comfie as bed but as always with Premier Inn main bed was very comfie! The staff was very courteous and helpful though but the toilet paper is awful and the free wifi was fairly bad. But overall a good stay and yummy breakfast. Although you do have to ask for the veggie options which is annoying. Also no outside noise or neighbouring rooms could be heard and right next to train station and restaurants so was happy despite the niggles.

Actually pillows were not the fluffiest at all ! My neck is in pain. Bed was 2 beds attached to each other, im in so much pain after those 2 nights sleep. First night i didnt sleep at all. 2nd night i just tried to. Changing rooms for me was a hustle !

It had been a couple of years since we last stayed in Edinburgh City Centre Royal Mile hotel we were looking forward to staying this time with our infant as it is a great location and the last time we stayed it was amazing ..... Sadly the location is the only thing that remained the same... We arrived at hotel and were met with cheerful staff members who informed us of our room.... Apon arriving to room 520 it was freshly cleaned and travel cot etc assembled... But apon laying on the bed my partner noticed the cool/dampness on duvet pillows i put it down to just been a cold room as the weather was bitter... As we travelled a long distance i ignored her misgivings about the room... Awakening the next morning i could feel and smell the dampness i went to the window and was met with a pool of water on the window sill running down from it... It was then i noticed the mould and blackness around the walls ceiling etc... I immediately went to reception where the staff member apologised and was aware of the condensation issues best they could do was to move rooms... We moved to 516 and it was only a slight improvement... Its an old building i understand but surely there is basic health and safety issues not being addressed with the mould and dampness... So anyone thinking of booking.... yes its a great location and staff and food are pleasent but standard of rooms is shocking the above is the major issue there was many other little issues such as peeling trim no safe or phone bath mat in room... We wont be staying again anytime soon

Let's start with the positives: the water pressure of the shower was good, the staff were helpful, the location was convenient for the train station and the city centre. Now, onto the negatives. The main issue is that the room was very noisy. Usually in hotels this is due to other guests, people outside the hotel, etc but this was the room itself. The banging aircon, the gurgling plumbing, the dripping vents. We also had an "aircon leak detector" I believe it was in the wall that would hiss every 8 minutes for 20 seconds (yes, we timed it). All of these things made for a poor sleep experience over our 2 night stay. We actually requested to move rooms after checking in due to a banging noise coming from the vent, turns out that was a consistent feature across the rooms so we needn't have bothered (the staff were accommodating though). The bathroom felt very tired, with wobbly floor tiles and dirty peeling silicone. Also, a message to all hotels, no one likes glass walls and doors between the bedroom and the bathroom! Even between couples, but especially if I'd been staying with a family member or friend. Additionally, these glass walls hadn't been cleaned (there was an outline of a love heart that showed up in the steam, left by a previous guest). Another major dissatisfaction is the lighting in the room. It can only be controlled by panels above the bed (panels which can also be activated by the touch of a pillow... at pillow height). It's frustrating not being able to control individual lights and only having 3 "moods" to choose from (dim, bright, and very bright) which control the bedroom and bathroom lights as one. A small thing but added to our overall dissatisfaction. There is an extractor fan in the bedroom controlled by a sensor in the bathroom. This is so when the bathroom door is closed the fan in the bedroom area will stop after a certain time, I suppose. However this is very annoying if one person needs a late night bathroom trip, triggers the sensor, and sets off the fan in the bedroom, adding to the symphony of noises in the room. Finally, the WiFi didn't work the whole time we were staying. This is made more frustrating by the fact that there is no signal inside the hotel, so mobile data didn't even work. Very difficult to plan things to do and make reservations without any internet connection. Overall, we did not have a restful or pleasant stay. Luckily we were out exploring the city for the most part, but this hotel did negatively affect our stay.

Premier Inn are our “go-to” brand as we have always had a good clean room. We have used the Hubs in London a few times and love the modern quirky rooms and hi tech features. We chose The Hub in Edinburgh for its brand and location but on this occasion we were left disappointed. No issues with the hotel or the room itself but the housekeeping really let the side down. The carpets were in need of a vacuum on arrival and the sides were dusty and hairy. The bathroom was particularly poor with a dirty toilet and lots of thick dust on the extra toe and corners of the floor. This so the first time we have been disappointed with the brand. I wouldn’t stay here again.
