Hummingbird Inn

What a special place the Hummingbird Inn is! The owner of the Inn, Chef Eric, greeted us warmly after our long car ride from Upstate New York. He showed us to our room, let us get settled in, and then we were off to a great restaurant in Easton that the concierge, Mary, had booked for us. Mary kindly booked reservations for us all weekend. It was great to relax and put ourselves in their hands. Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and boasted a fantastic rain shower. Breakfast was really special with several options offered and special attention paid to our dietary limitations. The food was amazing, Chef Eric makes everything himself. Starting our day with the Hummingbird Bellini got our vacation weekend off to a great start! The bar is a great place to have a cocktail before dinner, and everyone we met was welcoming and warm. The Town and walking trails are an easy walk from the Inn. Eric is a superb host, we can’t wait to return!

Perfection! The Hummingbird Inn is a beautiful Victorian, furnished lovingly with every detail for your comfort. Eric is a wonderful host and his breakfasts are…a delight. Each room is unique but all designed for the utmost in comfort. I loved the fire in our room and the Claw foot tub for soaking.

My husband and I planned a holiday getaway, selecting the Hummingbird Inn. The moment we walked through the front door, we were warmly greeted by Eric, the inn’s owner and chef. As well as being a friendly and gracious host, he is a remarkable chef. Mary, the inn’s manager, was equally personable and extremely helpful. The accommodations are superb. Or room was beautiful, bright, cheery and eminently comfortable. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Hummingbird Inn. Eric and Mary were incredible— lovely, thoughtful people with wonderful recommendations. Talking to them was a highlight of the trip. Breakfast each morning was delicious and filling, and we miss starting our days that way. Easton itself also exceeded our expectation— very walkable, even from the inn, but full of shops and restaurants to keep you occupied for days (if you can tear yourself away from the inn!). Cannot recommend enough; plan to go back.

The Hummingbird Inn is an old, unique house that has been lovingly converted into a bed and breakfast inn. It’s about an 8 minute walk from central Easton and there are a number of restaurants around the corner too. The service is a real star of the inn. Mary, Bev and owner Eric could not be more welcoming and kind. Eric is also a chef who prepares the sinfully delicious breakfast. My spouse is gluten free and we really appreciated how well he accommodated it. I loved the blueberry french toast and the delicious pumpkin, cranberry scones. Coffee (available well before breakfast) is also very good. Small snacks and water bottles are also available to guests at any time. They have opened a small bar for guests which is great if you want to sit in that cozy room or take your drink out on the porch. Drink prices were very reasonable. The rooms are cozy. I might have wished for a small sofa instead of a couple of chairs but it all worked well. Shower was excellent. Bathroom has high end Beekman 1802 products. The decor tends towards the ornate with many, many knickknacks but everything is also very serviceable. My only small suggestion would be to use scent free detergent on the sheets and towels for people with allergies like me. We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary there and appreciate all everyone did to make us feel special and the occasion memorable.

We had the quirky tower room at the top. Great for us but watch your head if you’re tall. Lovely garden, a wraparound veranda, and the fabulous breakfasts were all wonderful surprises. All due to Innkeeper Eric - he went above and beyond for us
