Maddens on Gull Lake

I met my son at Madden's for a weekend in September. It was the perfect time to visit since the summer season was done and less crowded plus the weather was still warm. We had a cabin along the lake with a deck. Our cabin had 2 queen beds, bathroom, and small fridge/microwave. The cabin was clean, and housekeeping made daily stops to inquire if we needed anything. We wished there was a kitchenette to prepare a simple meal/snack. This resort is huge and offers many places for dining. We were even able to order from the pizza cafe and have it delivered to our cabin. We enjoyed walking on the property and along the lake. We also used the laundry facilities, which were not near our cabin, so we had to drive and find a place to park.

We had a FABULOUS vacation at Madden's this weekend, and we will definitely be back again this summer! All of the staff we encountered were very good and super friendly including the people at the check-in desk, the wonderful servers, Amanda tending to the beach, the bartenders at the pool bar, etc. We stayed in the main hotel and enjoyed golfing, massages at the spa, the outdoor pool and the beach. Everything you need is on the resort! The restaurants were very impressive with quality menu items and many, many gluten free options, which our family needs. Our Madden's weekend is a family tradition, and we are very lucky to have such a neat resort here in Minnesota.

A nice weekend destination Check in was great. Room was perfect. Wait service at the Classic had an attitude - the only demerit on our stay.

Madden's Resort is a memory making machine. The staff treats us like family and my kids feel like they are in a good old fashioned movie where cell phones don't exist, people have there head up to give you a friendly wave and every day feels like a brand new adventure. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked very well. I rented a pontoon and took the kids went tubing. Marina staff was excellent. I golfed Pine Beach East 3 times and had a blast. Tee off after 6 and you have the course to yourself. I even saw three BEARS! Kidding, but I did birdie the Par 6 6th each day! Multiple places to eat including The Mission where walleye is always "the choice". Check in and Check out was a breeze. We rented a golf cart to cruise around the resort. My 13 year old got pulled over as you need to be 18:) It's experiences like that makes you wish you were a kid again pushing the limits and smiling until you fall asleep. We go to Madden's a couple times a year. I sincerely hope my kids choose to visit this place forever.

there are some areas that need work in the buildings … our building has a huge area that is falling off the building and our Air conditioning was horrible. The staff is outstanding .. loved the salt pool and the golf is awesome. As a matter of fact the use of safe methods to keep the greens beautiful but without dangerous run off is so great. It is spendy there and we would love to stay a week but may be too spendy. The food is great there too.
