Fall: Fall colors on our lake are absolutely beautiful! Soak in the hot tub overlooking the lake while you enjoy the colors around you. When you get tired of that, take a drive up the Old Mission Peninsula to enjoy the wineries and the views!
Winter Fun: Ice fishing, snowmobiling, and skiing are just minutes away.
Local Attractions: Timber Ridge, VASA trailhead, and ATV trails within 5-15 minutes.
Nearby Attractions: 15 minutes to downtown Traverse City, 17 minutes to Flintfields Horse Park, 20 minutes to Great Wolf Lodge, and 30 minutes to Old Mission Peninsula Wine Trail.

The Water's Edge is one of two cottages that make up High Lake Retreat. Guests staying in either cottage can use the stairs to access the shared beach. It's especially great when families have kids that play together! The beach, along with the canoe, kayaks, pedal boat and dock are shared amenities available to both cabins. The way summer should be!
Our family of four (inc. a 13 year old and 12 year old) had a blast at this charming cabin! We LOVED having a beach and boats to use. The kids splashed around in the lake at night, we had an epic Connect 4 competition, and the hubs and I enjoyed a beverage on the deck (loved the wine that our wonderful host left for us)! The cabin had everything we needed. We didn’t use the hot tub but it was a great option to have. And, Peegeos (literally a stone’s throw away) was a very fun birthday meal for our newly minted 12 year old! The location of the cabin was close enough to everything but far enough to feel peace and quiet! Thank you to the hosts for the fantastic communication and recommendations! We loved our stay!

Great spot!
Very relaxing cozy little cottage close to a lot of great hiking and close to the city.Can’t beat watching lake sunsets from the hot tub.5 stars!

Wonderful Cozy Cottage
Wonderful hosts who were very attentive to our needs. Cottage was very cozy with new hot tub, view of lake, fireplace, and located next to excellent restaurant and hiking locations. Will be returning next year!
