This B&B has multiple rooms. Ours was a room at the back of the property with great views. The beach is very close so we enjoyed walking along the concrete path along the sea. Towns with pubs which sell proper food are nearby. Nearby town Hythe is beautiful and a must visit. The B&B lies 30 minutes drive from Eurotunnel Folkstone. Debra, the owner, does all she can to make the customer feel welcome. Breakfast is complete with a promising menu written on the blackboard in the breakfast room.

Sofa bed was so hard that I slept on the floor, I am 56 and should not need to do this at my age. My 8 year old niece sat in the swing seat and the whole thing fell into the canal with her in it. It was very lucky that she was not injured on the rocks and did not get any cuts on the rocks on the slope and knew how to swim. The attitude of the owner was atrocious and blamed my niece for pushing in the heavy swing seat, also shouted at my sister and denied the sofa bed was hard, She also suggested that we should have waded into the canal to retrieve the seat. We packed up and left the same night to stay somewhere else. This ruined our stay, we all still get upset when thinking about this. This was the worst holiday ever.

We have been in 8 different accomodations in England this month, and I'm sorry to say that our stay at the Waterside Inn was under average. Overall we give this accomadation a 6 out of 10. Must say the location is great, being half an hours drive to/from Dover.

Lovely guest house, beutiful views and sunset....Breakfast first class - Debbie the owner very friendly - would return if needed to stay in the area again. within easy walking distance to the Swan pub and a little further to the shops, amusements and the lovely sandy beach.

We have just returned from a two night stay at this gem of a guesthouse, we went there to recharge our batteries for the coming week at work, and came home fully rested and ready for the week ahead. The setting was excellent, room was excellent the breakfast was excellent and deborah an excellent hard working host, we plan to return later in the year. We totally recommend this lovely place without hesitation, wether just for a rest or as a base. Thank you deborah.

Very clean rooms .we had a lovely view of the steam and ducks and the steam train going past not that we could hear it . great breakfast and enough milk in room for a few cups of tea or coffee. Lovely host Deb was helpful if you needed anything . Bed were very comfortable . Will be going back again highly recommend.

The room is comfortable and basic toiletries were in my room. Breakfast was very nice and quick to come to the table. The reason it being only 4 stars is in the walkthrough to the dining area, there is a fish tank in complete neglect. With fish in there also. Maybe a 100 litre tank which is 80% empty with no light no plants. Was such a shame to see as the owners seem to be very nice people. If this can be sorted then there is absolutely no fault.

Just what I wanted, for a 3 night stay for work nearby, benefited by fabulous weather to enjoy walks early morning and evening. First impressions were cleanliness, Debra was inviting and explained everything well. No reason to down the score from 5 to 4 on a whim because you get exactly what you pay for, a nice modest guesthouse with bonuses of sitting on the terrace with a gin watching the fish, fields, and sun go down. Back next week.

Last minute short break in Kent and luckily found this gem available. Got here early but Debra had our room ready so were able to get settled in. Beautiful room with stunning view over the fields and canal; and the most amazing sunset. Short walk to the beach- lovely walk for miles along the seafront. Went to The Shepherd and Crook for dinner which is a 5 minute drive away. Great value for food.
