This was a wonderful trip by all accounts. We were there for 6 days and I have to say we've never spent this much on a hotel room before (around $500 a night). This included continental breakfast which was enough for me (fruit or granola, pastries, yogurt, tea or coffee). Breakfast from the menu looked good as well and was comparable in price to bakeries around the island (Arthur's and Cocoa Bakery) we went to both of these places and enjoyed the change and the smoothies at Cocoa's were great. The hotel itself is not air-conditioned and it is a bit tired in it's appearance and could use some updating, although I did love the island vibe. We were there at the hottest time of the year - August. The staff informed us that they would be closing in about 2 weeks. It seemed like they were hot and tired too possibly from a busy season. We also found out that the hotel had been recently sold, so perhaps the employees were worried about their jobs when it reopened. Our room was air-conditioned and it worked very well. The bathroom was HUGE including a soaking tub and a walk in shower, separate toilet area and one large sink. We were in a corner room with balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Beautiful views and sunrises every morning with shutters to block the sun if you wanted to sleep in. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel and both were good. Everything is expensive so there's no reason to complain about the price as it is an island and has one of the world's top 5 beaches so considering this, not an issue. A few things could stand improvement. Complimentary coffee was good at the bar every morning but we had to ask for hot tea each day. After a couple of days they started to put the tea out but we still had to ask for hot water. Every morning. They were happy to bring it but it took some time to find someone and then they only brought it in a small container that made 2 cups. I guess being a former British Colony we expected there would be tea in the morning along with coffee. The staff was drinking tea each morning as well. The beach bar was only open during lunch and I didn't see anyone at the beach to order beverages or food from if you wanted to do that. The pool was beautiful, and everyday the seagulls enjoyed bathing in it on the infinity ledge, which made the lower pool area pretty dirty. I didn't see anyone cleaning it until the day before we left. With that and the temperature of the water being so hot, we didn't get in the pool other than the first day. It seemed to be enjoyable for the few families we saw there. While the Island is walkable, we enjoyed having a golf cart to get around to other places and we we had some good meals at Aquapazza, Blue Rooster Bar at Valentines, Cocoa's and Arthurs for breakfast, Queen Conch (we were the only ones there at 7 pm on a Thursday). Get there before 5 pm if you want conch salad. Conch is chewy in my opinion, but I did try it. We also had lunch at Ma Ruby's despite some poor reviews. It w
