One of the rooms had no working lights, and the other had a non-functioning toilet. There were no staff available on reception, so the guests were unable to report these issues until the early hours of this morning. At that point, one guest was moved to another room. However, they were informed this morning that the toilet in the original room had been fixed and were asked to move back—only to find that the issue still persists. In addition to this there were several other unacceptable problems: The lift does not go to the fourth floor, forcing guests to carry heavy luggage up the stairs. The downstairs coffee machine in the breakfast area is not working, yet full charges for breakfast have still been applied. This machine was also out of service during a previous stay at this hotel, so there has been ample time to resolve the issue. This level of service is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on Travelodge.
