Good location. 1st ten seconds finger marks on doors, plant pot with fag ends just the small things sometimes make all the difference Bed was ok a bit of a lean on it had a not bad sleep, shower needed a clean around the base I’m not picky customer but it may put others off Breakfast was adequate and coffee was good and the girl in the morning was very helpful

I was in Dumfries with my partner for a concert and we booked this B&B to spend the night. The room was spacious, clean and cozy. Kettle, tea & coffee, hairdryer, iron and iron board were provided. The bathroom had a small sink but a new, big shower and soap, shower gel, shampoo and towels were included. The room was quiet and the breakfast very good. The location is excellent, just a 10 mins walk to the centre.

Not great. Could do with a deep clean. Valance sheet on bed looked scruffy, bed far too soft. I know this is personal preference but when we sat on the bed the person on the other side was bounced up and almost off it. Lumpy pillows with marks on and a stain on the white duvet cover. Lots of dust around edge of room where vacuum doesn't reach and lino was a different colour around the edges compared to the centre where it's obviously cleaned more. Would need a good scrub. Owner friendly and breakfast was fine but very disappointed with the condition of the room. Unfortunately we won't be back, really needs more attention to detail. Shame.

Stayed one night to break up the long journey home from Ireland. I stayed in room 5 overlooking the garden and a lovely church. Coffee making facilities were very good, with nice buiscuits and chocolate mints. I slept with the window open and was not disturbed by any noise. This is an old listed building, and the room looked a little tired, but I was not there long enough for this to really matter. Unfortunately I did not find the bed to be very comfortable, but you can not please every guest, and it is all down to personal preference. Breakfast was included and ordered the night before. A lovely young lady brought my breakfast, which was very good, and set me up for the rest of my journey. Would I stay here again? Certainly.

We had a lovely stay for one night to break up the travel journey from Newcastle to cairnryan for my elderly grandparents. The owner was very attentive and friendly making the stay a great experience. The annex room was perfect for my grandparents being in their 80’s not having many steps to climb, would definitely book again! Clean and tidy throughout with a lovely garden to sit and watch the world go by on a summer’s evening and early morning with the birds bathing in the fountain ❤️

Second time visiting this B&B and we still love it. Colin is a fabulous host, the location is brilliant and we always have everything we need. breakfast is lovely, lots of choice and plenty of coffee on tap. this will always be our first choice when visiting the area

A really lovely B & B room with en-suite. Good sized bedroom had a large, very comfortable bed along with a couple of small coffee tables, chairs, bedside cabinets and closet. All the storage space you could need. A little disappointing that there was not a larger table or desk from which one could work from, would be the only criticism. En-suite was reasonably large and contained an excellent, if small shower, with limited shelving to place personal toiletries. However, did provide complementary toiletries, which is unusual for a B&B. The breakfast was superb, with a range of hot and cold options offered. Again, an unusual, but very welcome find for a B&B. A substantial discount for any other meals at the local Pub was also available. Township centre and local supermarkets are within very easy walking distance. Good off-street parking. Along with the excellent free Wi-fi, this is definitely a place recommended for a stay.
