I really wanted to love this hotel. It has so much potential. However,  the constant barking during the night from dogs on the adjacent property is overwhelming. Poor quality windows make it seem like the dogs are barking in your room. If you value your sleep, stay somewhere else.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Dumaguete. From the moment I arrived, I felt relaxed, refreshed, and truly well taken care of by the entire staff. Special thanks to Krishna, the receptionist Clarisse, the drivers, the pool attendant, security guards, waiters, and housekeepers—all of whom were exceptionally friendly and professional. The hotel's facilities were excellent—well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. I especially enjoyed spending time in their café and the restaurants next to the hotel, which offered a cozy ambiance and delicious food. Overall, my experience was exceptional, and I will definitely be returning!

This hotel was truly comfortable and the staff were very accommodating. The location near the water and many restaurants made this stay great. Not downtown but easy enough to get there. We would come back if we return in the future. 5 stars in my view

Hi All, This is my 3rd or 4th stay in Hotel Dumaguete. While the service/professionalism of the staff is still very good, I highly recommend the bathrooms undergo routine repairs/maintenance. Based upon photos, the bathroom fixtures are starting to rust. It will be unfortunate and a waste if the owners and/or management doesn’t keep up with maintenance when needed. Also, I suggest all alcoholic/none alcoholic beverages be available (have duplicate bottles) in all areas of the hotel where drinks are served to avoid staff having to run to the pool area and back to the bar area as time is being wasted.

LOVE this hotel! #1 they didn’t cut corners building it or outfitting it and it just feels great when you get to your hotel and everything works (has not been the case with so many of the places we’ve stayed around the country) #2 there are thoughtful extra touches that I adored (reed diffuser in rooms, purse stools in deli, good sound system and music, Netflix on TV), #3 staff was very professional, approachable and helpful. #4 the pool is glorious and every time I went down to swim I had it to myself #5 the hidden restaurant, cafe and bar behind the hotel was one of my favorite spots to chill in the City. Stayed here a week. Found it very relaxing for its proximity to city. Highly recommend.

I spent 5 night at Hotel Dumaguete with my wife and 5 y/o daughter. We had the best time ever. Very nice modern rooms. The staff were absolutely over the top being very accommodating, kind, and respectful. They are always smiling and will go out of the way to make sure you are happy and satisfied. The restaurant/deli in the lobby (Piapi Deli) serves up some really great meals at a very reasonable price. The roof top wine bar (The Pawnshop), is also very nice with an ample assortment of wines and cheeses. Conveniently located close to town and the famous board walk and boulevard with too many restraints to choose from. Be aware if you have children or you cannot swim that the swimming pool does not have a shallow end so to speak. 5 ft is the minimum depth getting deeper from there but very clean and very nice. Time and money well spent for sure. I highly recommend this hotel and will return sure.

This is an average hotel but overpriced for the area and service provided. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms are small compared to other hotels at this price point in the Philippines and they offer no amenities compared to other hotels at this price. The location to the boardwalk is convenient and they do offer free wine in the evening at the bar on the roof. Do not arrive early because they will not allow early check in.

This hotel is truly an awesome and great hotel to stay in Dumaguete! Awesome facilities, kind and accommodating staff! Great service! We’ll be the “suki” of this hotel! Thank you for the free Airport services also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Dumaguete. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Their driver will take you into town (Rizal Boulevard) and picked us up from the Dumaguete Seaport for free. They also have an excellent diner on site with sandwiches. Breakfast, which is included was also very good. While we didn't have the chance to try their pool on this trip, they do have a nice pool on floor 4 as well as a good hotel bar called the Pawnshop. We enjoyed our stay and will return soon.

This place is very different than most hotels not so big. Great customer service amazing food in their little restaurant and two other restaurants located behind this facility a very large swimming pool pool a pantry on each floor at the back of the building a very unique elevator and hundreds and hundreds of hanging plants at the front and the rear of this hotel, very nice. We enjoyed our stay there.

We adore their cabinets which is made of recycled materials. They have a communal pantry which allows us to store food in the fridge and a water station to refill our water bottles. We love the fact that the pool stays warm, I have no idea how they do it but it was refreshing to take a dip even at night. Their customer service is excellent. And probably the best part, their dishes and dessert are a gastronomic delight! Will surely be back for another staycation!
