Wow! I contacted the hotel as we were arriving and Damir came to meet us and walk us and our luggage to the hotel. Teh room was very large and so comfortable! The stairs are steep but he carried our luggage upstairs. In the morning we received champagne for our anniversary and they make breakfast to order. Damir arranged our transportation to the airport upon departure and it could not have been any better! He and the entire staff are first class! I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is visiting Dubrovnik!

Outstanding little gem in the centre of old town Dubrovnik. The proprietor Damir is welcoming and clearly loves his work and creation. Due to delayed flights and missed connections, my husband and I arrived after midnight instead of the planned evening checkin. Damir remained in contact with us and met us at the gates at 1 am to help us with luggage down the winding streets to the guest house. We are so grateful. The Inn is adorable, beautifully appointed with incredibly comfortable beds and good storage. Our breakfast was fabulous, tasty and customized to our requests. The location is perfect allowing an early morning exploration of the town before crowds arrive. Thank you to Damir and his team for helping us launch a beautiful few weeks in their amazing country of Croatia.

Wow! What a fantastic place to stay! It is inside the walls of the town just a few steps from the Stradum. Perfectly located for everything we wanted to do. Our room was really comfortable and had a beautiful patio outside. The shower was to die for and the made to order breakfast was delicious. Most importantly the owner and his staff were delightful and incredibly friendly and helpful. We have traveled all over the world and I can honestly say that Guest House 44 ranks at the top of places we’ve stayed. We’ll be back!!

First class in all aspects!!! The staff are accommodating, friendly, courteous and nothing short of perfection. The hotel is gorgeous with spacious rooms and bathrooms. It is clean, quiet, comfortable and the breakfast was delicious!!!

My husband and I stayed here for several nights on our first trip to Dubrovnik. Not only did we love the property, but the staff was excellent, and the proprietor (it is his family business) offered amazing customer service and paid special attention to his guests. The food was great, too! The entire experience was memorable. I highly recommend this lovely establishment — and its location is perfect!

just amazing. Beautiful rooms in a beautiful location. We stayed in the ‘silver’ room’which was spacious and cool, beautifully decorated with a lovely private patio. It is obvious how much care and attention has gone into making this place so authentic and special. All the staff were attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The food in the restaurant was amazing especially the Black Ravioli and vongole. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Would love to return. Thanks for making our stay so special.

Perfectly appointed, amazing location, excellent customer service. The owner and staff truly care about personalizing your experience. The restaurant is among the best in the city - which is saying a lot. And the rooms are cool, calm and quiet when you want to a break from the city hustle.

Wonderful, classy, comfortable stay in old town Dubrovnik. Lovely breakfast, great restaurant, and a quiet oasis of modern elegance just steps from the bustling downtown. And hotelier Damir goes out of his way to make his guests comfortable!

I have just checked out of this beautiful boutique hotel. I have traveled all over the world staying in luxury 5 star hotels like the four seasons, aman, etc. This is one of the most charming boutique hotels with the most personalized and attentive service we have ever received. It is tiny, 5 rooms, and family run. The manager, Damir, goes above and beyond for the property and guests. We had a family of 7, and upon check in, and seeing all of us with all of our luggage, ( we just spent a week on a Moorings catamaran seeing the islands), he upgraded us to a 4 story, 3 bedroom apartment that literally was a “palace”, just because he thought we would be more comfortable! This palace was unbelievable, and gorgeous!! The location of the property can’t be beat. It is right in the center of the walled medieval city and old town of Dubrovnik. The restaurant is also the best in the city and one of the best meals we had during our 12 day stay in Croatia. A lot of the restaurants in old town are the same, but their restaurant is much more upscale with better food quality and presentation. The waitstaff are also exceptional. Our server last night, Martin, was amazing! The chef is great and the included breakfast is quite special as the morning service staff were so accommodating and professional and they will make you whatever you want. The manager personally met us at 5 am to assist us getting to the airport for an early flight. We loved our stay here and will never forget how special this property is along with the incredible people who work there. We absolutely loved it and it was a perfect end to our trip to Croatia!
