Pembroke Hall

Our family stayed at Pembroke Hall and had two rooms for five nights. It was so pleasant and felt just like home. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood that is within walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. The owners are so nice and treat you like family. We would gladly stay there again. It was clean and very comfortable.

Absolutely terrific place to spend a few nights. Rooms are immaculate, good-sized, and very tastefully decorated, with great attention to detail like fresh water, nice shampoo and soap, makings for coffee, a small refrigerator, and even wine glasses. Lots of restaurants close by and a 15-20 minute walk to Trinity and the center of town. Hilary was warm and welcoming, and very helpful with inside tips. No elevator if climbing stairs is an issue.

Great guest house with very comfortable rooms. Good location. Easy and interesting 25 minute walk to Trinity College and Temple Bar area. Even less to Merrion Square and St. Steven’s Green. Good restaurants and pubs nearby. We stayed here twice. Loved it

Pembroke Hall was just lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the room was great. It was like stepping into Georgian Dublin. I felt very at home in my room .I arrived early to drop my luggage and Hilary was there. My room was ready and she let me in around 11am! Lots of places to eat nearby and a 20 minute walk into St. Stephens Green. The only negative is there were no bureaus or closets to put my clothing. I stayed for several nights and will go back!

Total rip off Dublin €242 for one double room for the night no breakfast. We won’t be back. Whether there is a rock continuing or not please don’t take advantage of people who are not going to the concert. I cannot see tourism surviving in Ireland.

A small boutique hotel, in a beautiful building, in the tranquil leafy suburb of Ballsbridge. It’s a very pleasant 20 minute walk to Grafton Steet or you may wish to stay local (as we did one night) and try out the restaurants and pubs around the corner. There are also good local shopping facilities with a Boots, Tesco and Spa a few minutes walk away. Our room was on the top floor – which meant carrying our heavy suitcases up 6 flights of stairs (there is no lift) - and was cool, quiet and comfortable, which was much appreciated during a hot and busy week in Dublin. We had a kettle, coffee pod machine and a small wine fridge. Perhaps a toaster, microwave and a larger fridge would be a suggested improvement? The bathroom was small but adequate thought I found the shower lacked power. Check-in time is officially 4pm which accommodates those wishing to have a late check-out. In practice it looked as though the rooms are nearly always ready much earlier (ours was available when we arrived at 2pm). There is also a very useful ‘taxi butler’ system whereby you press a button and a taxi arrives, normally in a few minutes (making an allowance for rush-hour or wet weather as would be the case in most cities). I think we chose well and would definitely recommend this place.
