This was Drymen´s oldest pub, we were told, and looks attractive from the outside. Inside was rather so-so, quite dark. Staff was friendly and efficent but the food did not live up to expectations. Haggis was ok but the Yorkhire puuding was hardly edible. The beef was not chewable. It also surprised us that dogs are allowed where food is served. 2 when we visited, playing around. We are dog people but in a public house? Plus for beer and the «Wee Dram»

We stayed for 2 nights in Drymen, the bedroom was fine all we needed but the best part of our stay was the wonderful restaurant. The menu was very comprehensive, good starters and mains, the staff were excellent and made us feel at home. Must visit if you are in the area

Very friendly and helpful staff in the busy little bar who couldn't do enough for you, and this service was matched in the bustling and surprisingly large restaurant. Had a fantastic dinner. Stayed one night and had been worried about the "shared bathroom", but this wasn't a problem as the room was beautiful (with a balcony) and the bathroom was large and immaculately clean. Have been to Drymen many times, and from the outside I always took this to be a tiny pub. What a gem. Will happily return in future. A great experience and excellent value for money.

This is a great place to call in for a drink, lunch or dinner. We had lunch one day which was very tasty. We then had dinner for a friends 60th birthday as a group of 10. It was very busy but the service and food was amazing. Tom the manager is super friendly, as were the rest of the team. They made our friends birthday so special. We also stayed in foxglove chalets which were really lovely and brilliantly located, and owned by the Clachans owners. Would love to come and enjoy their hospitality again.
