Geejam

We loved our stay at Geejam and just wish we had more time there! We stayed in a Rumba Room which was really spacious and had amazing artwork on the walls. There was a very relaxed vibe at the hotel, and the team were super friendly. It is a short walk down to the beach which is perfect for swimming in the bay or paddle boarding with sea turtles! We also did a tour of the recording studio with owner Steve which was a real highlight. In general the surrounding area felt a lot less touristy than other parts of the island which was very refreshing. Can't wait to go back!

Geejam is a wonderful place -- the rooms are beautiful and well-appointed with fantastic local art and thoughtful touches. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel, and everything is meticulously clean. Despite being in the middle of the rain forest, I never saw bugs or lizards in my room. The system of texting guest services works well and the staff is warm and kind. The views are ridiculous, loved the pool and the vibe. It was great to come back from a day of exploring and just relax in the Bushbar with a drink (the rum punch is delicious). There are some great parties and the owner Steve was kind enough to invite us. He also greeted us several times and checked to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I would note that there isn't a true "sandy beach" but there is a nice area by the water where you can lay out or take free kayaks to explore. The only downside is how long it takes to get food. In the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner we typically had to wait 1-1.5 hours for our meal to be delivered to the table. For one group lunch, we pre-ordered the meals a week in advance and it still took one hour for drinks and two hours for everyone to be served food. Even room service took over an hour for breakfast and I ended up having to cancel the order because I had plans and couldn't wait any longer. I really wanted to give Geejam five stars but I just couldn't because of this issue. The food was delicious so no complaints there at all. That said, there were some real stars. Ian is the hardest-working man in the restaurant! You can tell he gives his all to make sure guests are having a great time. Shane and Brian at the bar/restaurant are fantastic as well. Newton in guest services handled all of our requests quickly and was always pleasant and friendly. He helped coordinate transport to the local attractions and any random things that came up. He was definitely the MVP!

Amazing view and food! The charismatic and interesting Steve Beaver made myself and all our friends feel welcomed with his incredible stories. We had dinner, drinks, played pool, and listened to great music. Vibes were truly immaculate.

Visiting Geejam is a necessary addition to your Jamaica trip. The food is incredible and local, the service is excellent and personal, and the views are jaw dropping. Not to mention the great atmosphere and history. Definitely make a stop here for great care and a more than worthwhile experience

I was blown away by my recent stay! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home! My room, the Rumba, boasted modern amenities, high ceiling, and a stunning walkout balcony with view of the sea. The bathroom was luxurious with a walk-in shower and standalone soaker tub. And, of course, the bed was incredibly comfortable. I felt safe within the premises thanks to the friendly, respectful, and helpful staff. Monique’s warm smile made my return home even more special. Don’t forget to enjoy your welcome drink - I opted for freshly picked coconut water, a refreshing choice. The entire team including Dane, Shakima, Nadine, Chef Cian, Romario, and Alicia went above and beyond to cater to my needs. The food was delicious with options to suit every palate. While their beach and accessibly were a letdown, I thoroughly enjoyed my peaceful and relaxing stay. There however, is an infinity pool. And, as a bonus, the property features a professional recording studio that hosted many famous artists. I had the pleasure of being introduced to John who is one of the owners by Trevor (media), and his daughter Savannah. Portland Rhythm Syndicate (PRS) live band and his crew brings the vibes! Show your support and let loose. I’m already counting down the days until my return. Don’t hesitate - book your stay and experience it for yourself! This is truly a gem!

I had the pleasure of staying at Gee Jam Hotel, and it truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring I felt right at home. The property itself is stunning, nestled in the lush Jamaican countryside with breathtaking views. My room was spacious, beautifully designed, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The pool area and private beach were perfect for relaxation, and the on-site restaurant served delicious local cuisine. I also appreciated the peaceful and serene atmosphere, making it a great spot for unwinding. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely return for another stay!
