Premier Inn Douglas, Isle of Man

absolute waste of money don't bother i would say, you pay extra for a premier plus room and there's nothing plus about it , cheap nasty mattress with a cheap mattress topper attached to it ( done on the cheap) not the comfort and quality you would expect for the money paid to stay .. not only that the mini fridge you suppose to have complimentary bottles of water ( nothing and apparently they have ran out ) then instead of apologising get shouted what room number you in and will try and find water in the restaurant for you ,when spoke to reception all i got was yea we've ran out ( disgusting customer care) , and so called sweet treats all there is is 2 tiny chocolates ( laughable) and on further inspection of the room where you would expect a walk in shower but no just a over the bath shower , and paint peeling of the ceiling.. after then going to reception again about the room , oh we can probably move you to another room and there's nothing can do about the peeling paint.. never again and don't waste your money on a plus room , biggest waste of money going

We have stayed at many premier inns as this is always our first choice. This particular inn was not so great in some respects. The room was tidy as was the bathroom. The upstairs passageways had some litter amongst them which were not cleared away. ( we were there for 5 nights!) There was a broken electrical outlet that a child could have easily stuck a finger into. Th staff ranged from great and welcoming to rude and couldn't care less. We had three meals and could not fault the food or the way it was served. This was a tyme restaurant which we did find expensive ( mostly for the drinks though ) Once we got our bearings the place was easy to find although the car parks wre not so easy to sort out.

Firstly, the hotel is in a very good location for things to do in Douglas and it's very handy for the bus station and ferry terminal. Some great (real ale) pubs are close by along with shops restaurants and a theatre. We had three nights in room 414. It's at the rear of the hotel which is probably best for a quieter night though I have never stayed in a front room. The view though....horrendous. see picture. We kept the blinds closed permanently. The bed was large and comfortable. Large TV. WiFi worked well though we needed to keep logging back in Easy enough. We were short of coat hangers. The bathroom worked well enough but it's always awkward climbing over the edge of the bath to stand in the shower spray. Only one bath towel. Again! Rectified later. The breakfast was basic but good. Sausages were tasty. Maxine was great and very friendly. I said I would look elsewhere next time but this location is too good a spot.

What a brilliant stay, there was a group of 10. We stayed Friday-Monday. We ate in the restaurant 2 evenings and 3 breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. I would like to say a huge thanks to Steve, Kenny,Tracey, & Georgia. Thank you so very much.

We are staying at this hotel at the moment. We leave tomorrow morning to return home to Heysham. We always stay at the Premier Inn because we love it so much. The staff are really friendly, the rooms are spacious, Clean and modern and the prices are very reasonable. Big thank you to one of the managers, Steven. What a lovely man. Always makes us feel welcome. Looking forward to returning in a few months

I stayed for two nights in the Douglas hotel and it was exceptional. Georgia and Steve were super friendly - here for work so typically have no conversation outside of the individuals im working with so it was lovely to chat to the staff here. Had a meal allowance on the second night and went for the sticky toffee pudding as a desert which was delish! The rooms are spacious and the location is in the heart so nothing is to far away. This is my second stay this year and the service and quality is consistent. Many thanks Scott
