Les Jardins d'Issil

I arrived with a big group who were travelling with my business and received a very bad welcome from the manager. I had paid for my room with the group, but was not given a room, and at the dinner, a plate was not put with the group, solely because of my nationality.

Les Jardins D’Issil is an oasis of calm and tranquility in the desert just beyond Marakesh.  It is a family run  hotel and spa with caring staff who go out of their way to accommodate your every need. The rooms/tents are stunning with extremely comfortable beds, the pool is just the right temperature and large enough to swim a few lengths.  The grounds and facilities are clean and well kept although there are some signs of age.  Despite this you will not be disappointed.  The hotel is utterly charming. Breakfasts are usually a Moroccan feast which kept us going all day.  Evening meals are available, again Moroccan dishes which are tasty, generous in size and presented well  for a reasonable cost. Just be prepared to share with the cats! For those who like to drink alcohol there is a draft beer facility and local Moroccan wine is available.  The hotel is situated off a main road out of Marakesh and is not easy to find so if you’re hiring a car make sure you download the Waze satnav app and have plenty of data.  Without these two things I can guarantee you’ll get lost! Google maps gets very confused in this area!  All in all this hotel provided us with a wonderful place to stay and tour from and we will certainly return.

Everything was perfect….. The staff was very helpful….. the accomodations were beautiful …. and the Moroccan food was superb…..everything in there is traditional I loved it …It couldn't have been better. I send my Thanks to the manager he was super nice

This place is very peaceful !! I advise you to come here if you are tired of the city and it’s noisy loud voices it’s very Moroccan traditional rooms this is my second time visiting Morocco and Marrakesh city but this place is very exceptional :) :)

We made a reservation for the pool access Beautiful,peaceful place to be with family,pool so fresh it doesn’t have much klor in it ,it makes u feel like you rent the hall space only for you, the price it’s suitable with the lunch ,we enjoyed so much ,people must visit ,I recommend

If I could give this place no stars then I would. Was due to spend 2 nights here but left after just one. When we arrived we were told the hotel was having a pool party the next day from 12 until midnight. This wasn't what I was expecting as the hotel was pitched as being in a tranquil location away from everything but I figured I could live with it as we were due to be out on a tour for most of that day. However, in actual fact, the party was to run from midnight to midnight ie 24 hours straight. The music started and was relentless, it could be heard all over the site. I complained several times during the night and finally found the manager at 5am who could not care less. As far as she was concerned, we had been told about the party and it had been advertised across social media and it was therefore not her problem. At 6am I called my tour operator in the UK and they arranged for us to move to another hotel. Overall, the attitude of the manager was one of total indifference. Irrespective of whatever she attempts to post here to rebuke my review I would urge anyone considering staying here to think again. Aside from her attitude, the hotel itself is quite run down, pool loungers are dirty or broken, the electrics in our tent looked frankly dangerous with exposed wiring. The wall light in the bathroom had fallen off at some point so they had botched a repair by using the earth cable wrapped around the light fitting to hold it in place.
