Great Hotel with Excellent Facilities, But Poor Tennis Court Experience We stayed at this hotel recently and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is located just 700 meters from the metro, making it easy to reach. The property is spacious and includes an outdoor pool, indoor pool, sauna, gym, a tennis court (details below), a large dining hall, and two separate massage areas offering various treatments. Room & Service: The rooms are clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a larger room upon arrival. The staff were friendly and polite. Food: We’d rate the food 3.5 out of 5. The buffet is advertised as European, but the dishes lean heavily toward Chinese cuisine. Breakfast wasn’t to our taste, so we decided to skip dinner. Massage: There are two massage salons. We booked a foot massage, but the therapists ended up giving us an almost full-body massage, paying extra attention to sore areas. It was a wonderful experience — 5 out of 5. Pools & Sauna: Both pools are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. If you prefer fewer people, we recommend the indoor pool around 7 a.m. and the outdoor one around 2 p.m. The pools were clean and warm, and we appreciated the Swedish sauna in the locker room. Again — 5 stars. Gym: The gym is well-equipped and never crowded. Open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. — another 5 stars. Tennis Court: Unfortunately, this was the only major disappointment. Despite several attempts to book and show up at the scheduled time, no staff were present. Phone calls were ignored or we were told, “I don’t have time to talk.” We eventually got a refund (booked via *******), but the experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Rating: 1 out of 5. Overall: Aside from the tennis court issue, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel to others. Great amenities, clean rooms, and a peaceful environment.

Dongguan Forum remains a favorite of mine when visiting South China. Hotel has been upgraded recently, is clean, very good service and in a great location to work and local restaurants. Breakfast and gym are both very good. When warmer, the pool is a great amenity.

DG Forum Hotel remains amazing. Even when you encounter a language barrier, they are quick to help and assist. The food remains delicious, the pools awesome and the views inspiring. Just remember to close the room's balcony doors, otherwise the air conditioning stops 😂😂.

Better than I expected! Front desk attendants Harrison and Linna were knowledgeable and ready to help at any time! That’s something I really appreciate! Will stay there again!

I had a great view of my room facing the mountain (free upgrade too!). Service was excellent. Food was quite okay, but would be better if there was a egg station at the breakfast buffet where we could ask for scrambled or fried eggs. It was a shame I was only hear for a night, will be back!

Great location and service. Very nice room and really spacious bed. We didn’t upgrade our view to pool view or garden view so we were facing an abandoned building so upgrade your room if you mind. 

Good overall and without any special highlight. Staff is well educated and efficient. I got told that there is a deposit of 500 for each day of the stay , somehow strange, I wonder if I plan to stay here for 10 days I will have to put a deposit of 5K ?

Service is always great, rooms are clean, with lots of pools and a good sauna.

It’s my second time staying in this hotel. Very convenient place which just 5 mins walk from the nearest metro station. The room is spacious and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good for traveling with kids.

Recently renovated and they have done a great job - especially the lobby and restaurant. The rooms are large and well equipped but they are very mean with the tea/coffee giving just 1 small coffee sachet (enough for half a cup) but providing 2 cups. However, they are happy to send extra but in the standard of hotel you should not need to ask. RIP the mini bar - they used to have a great mini bar with snacks, wine/beer etc. Now it is a fridge with a couple of bottle of soft drinks. On the subject of alcohol - the old Carmens bar which had several pool tables and a relaxed atmosphere - has now closed and replaced with what is intended to be a lobby bar but looks more like a bottle museum. The lighting is way too bright for a bar - it's pretty much floodlight so if you want a nice cozy relaxing drink forget it. They have a trolley full of great booze tucked away in the side room - various spirits, liqueurs. They need to set them up on the virtually empty shelves and at least try and make it look like bar. Final gripe is the staff in this brilliantly lit bar have zero interest in what they are doing. Not a single smile or any expression of anything on both evenings I was there. Just a blank stare then back to the phone screen. The breakfast was excellent as were the staff - very helpful and smiley. Front desk were also great. However, to be considered of a International standard (they plan to join a major chain soon) they really need to improve spoken English

My stay at the Pullman Forum Hotel in Dongguan was nothing short of exceptional, largely thanks to the outstanding service provided by the front desk staff, particularly Linna.
