Aaaww... Tropical Sands Hotel! What a beautiful spot... loved the ambiance and was very close to Dominical beach, about 3-4 minutes walk. Rooms were clean with hot water, and the a/c was functioning properly. Internet was a bit jumpy... Amy, the host, was awesome, very well organized. She showed us good spots in Dominical with lots of information about restaurants, stores, the beach tides, and many adventures/excursions/activities around Dominical. Thank you so much for that wonderful experience at your place. I had a great time! Pura Vida! ☀️🌊🌴

I got to stay at this little hidden gem for 3 nights. The owner, Amy, is absolutely amazing to work with. Her staff (Cassia and Patty, and Alice (the maid) are all so nice and responsive to whatever you need. The room is super comfortable and I sleep like a rock there. The community kitchen option is great as well. It's a short 3 minute walk to the beach and the entire town is walkable. The staff can guide you wherever you need to go. I highly recommend it.

A perfect stay in Dominical. I absolutely loved Dominical and Tropical Sands was an amazing little hideout close to the beach. The garden was very peaceful, natural area with several chill out spots amongst the shade of the trees to observe and listen to sound of the birds. Amy was incredibly helpful and friendly from the time of booking, all the way through my stay up until the moment I left. I was grateful for her energy and efforts she made to share local knowledge for me to make the best time of my stay. I would really like to return to Tropical Sands to stay again.

A fab place to stay in a fantastic setting. Owners and staff are brill and are very helpful, they can't do to much for you. The facilities are as advertised and allow for great interaction, if you want, with other guests.

The hotel was perfectly situated near the beach and within walking distance of the main area of town. This provided a quiet and safe place to launch my daily explorations. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The commons area was very warm and inviting and where I met a number of really awesome people. The staff helped me with ideas for dinning and activities, all of which were excellent! Staying at Tropical Sands Hotel made me want to buy a place nearby. I would stay at this hotel any time I visit Dominical, which I hope to do again soon. Simply the best.

We stayed here for 6 nights and had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, just outside the centre of Dominical, quiet but close to everything you need and just a one minute walk to the beach. Waking up to the sound of birds , waves and distant monkeys. We loved Dominical, it's calm vibe and pretty beach, the waterfalls close by were perfect places to hide from the afternoon heat. Breakfast is not included but the pancakes and fruit plates at the little café just outside the hotel garden was great.

very chill hotel with everything i needed. resident cats are nice to have around. quiet, clean, out of the way but not too far to walk everywhere. lil cafe across the road has great breakfast for cheap.

We stayed 3 nights a the Tropical Sands and loved it. We were in Costa Rica for 3 weeks and after Montezuma, the central northern area and Osa Peninsula, Dominical was a treat. We loved the laid-back atmosphere of the village, the beach and the memorable sunsets. The owner Amy welcomed us warmly and gave us lots of useful information on what to do around. The garden and common areas were very pleasant places to hang out and meet other travellers. The room was perfectly confortable. I recommend warmly this guesthouse.

Everything is just amazing and Amy and her crew give everything to make you feel like home! The rooms are supernice and clean, and it just looks and feels amazing with the feeling of a „little jungle“ outside. And it’s just in front of the beach ;) Already 2nd time here and probably not the last time :)
